From 1991 World Fitness Federation (WFF-International) and World Bodybuilding Federation (WBBF-International) often televise most Important International Events: World and Continental Championships.
WFF and WBBF Contest Reports were on “Eurosport”, Russian NTV, Lithuanian National, TV3, “Baltic”, LNK and some other TV’s.
Often these TV’ were making videos and DVD’s for popularizing our nice sport Internationally.
Last DVD was made from 2007 WFF-WBBF World Pro and Am Championships by the National TV Lithuania.
The greatest 2008 Event – 2008 WFF-WBBF International Events Seria – will be televised too.
It will be held on May 16-19 in Klaipeda (Lithuania).
Supported by the State Republic Lithuania WFF-WBBF in Klaipeda will organize:
40-th “Amber Prix International”
WFF Amateur Europe Championship Open
WBBF Amateur Europe Championship Open
WBBF Pro Europe Championship Open.
These International Events again will be televised and a DVD will be made and spread World Wide.

Right after the 2008 WFF-WBBF International Events Seria on May 31 WFF and WBBF will organize the 2008 WFF-WBBF “Europe Grand Prix” in Trakay. In addition to the spectacular fights of the ancient Knights the WFF-WBBF Event will be held in the ancient Castle.
And again the Event will be televised and WFF-WBBF will produce a DVD disc from this extraordinary International Contest.

fine!

Our answer to the President WFF-WBBF North America MICHAEL GLASS:

Dear Michael,
Thank You for Your nice words.
IMPORTANT:
Though the first Bodybuilding Magazine (Strength and Health") was issued in 1898, though first Boduybuilding Contests started in the beginning of the 20-th Century, Weider's Commercial Empire built a fairy tail about our sport.
Today many people know about it.
Every International Movement MUST have History and Idea. But it should be not a false one.
WFF-WBBF has the "Amber Prix International" (tanks the God!) and it gives us the opportunity to have WFF-WBBF History as old as IFBB.
In 1959 IFBB organized it's first International Contest and it was "Universe" (ED Silvester was the Winner)
In 1966 IFBB organized it's first World Championships and Europe Championships.
In 1968 was organized first "Amber Prix International" and this Contest for years was the World Championship of the Socialist World (as our two Worlds had no chances to communicate in between because of the long lasting Iron Wall).
The level of Competitors, the number of Competitors and Countries competing in the "Amber Prix International" was the same as it was in IFBB World.
This is the WFF-WBBF International background for the nice Future!
In June 2008 about this Historic Event we will issue the Special WFF-WBBF Magazine (in English, Russian and Lithuanian).
It is not a fairy tail, it is the truth proved with the Final Results of the Contests (1968-2008), lots of pictures, lots of outstanding people that have been working for this Contest.
Take care,
Wishing the Best,
Yours,
ED

Great!
The investment bank that is the parent of non-profit FigureRX writes:

„I'm joking around, we like to tease our friends at the potato mafia. We sincerely hope that they maintain or even increase their commitment to the female side of the sport. Liberty Media is a huge conglomerate that also owns the Discovery Channel, USA Network and the STARZ movie channels, among other things, but we think that QVC runs the e-commerce side and would therefore take over BB.com. We (the investment bank that is the parent of non-profit FigureRX) have a chunk of their stock in our sports and media investment fund, so I guess we are part owners now too.
Weider survived being purchased by AMI, which is essentially known for trash magazines like the National Inquirer, although we've heard that they're losing faith in the Flex and M&F brands and may be cutting back“.

interesting to know!
It was always impossible to understand with normal brains IFBB sentences and punishments for IFBB sportsmen, participating at International Events of other federations.
IFBB started to do it at once from suspending it’s first “Universe” Champion ED SILVESTRE (1959), following F.LABRADOR and RICKY WAYNE.
Then it was the “medium generation” of IFBB Pros including Top Stars and Top Officials…
Then in the 90-ties nearly all IFBB pros left IFBB and went to VINCE MAC MACHON… What happened after? How many talented sportsmen were crucified?
Only Estonian OLEV ANNUS managed for NABBA activities to be twice sentenced by IFBB “for all life” and still continuing his participation as IFBB Pro.
IFBB continued this commercial business for years.

It is very interesting but I have seen some NABBA and WABBA sportsmen on the Competitor's List of 2008 "Arnold Classic".
Maybe IFBB are in friendly relations with WABBA and NABBA now?

Without femininity women's bodybuilding becomes just regular bodybuilding and women are biologically a different gender than men.
That means Lori Bowen said femininity was a key ingredient to the success of a female bodybuilder when she did the Ms. Olympia for NBC Sports World. That also means former Ms. Olympias like former Ms. Olympia Rachel McLish, former Ms. Olympia Carla Dunlap for ESPN, Former Ms. Olympia Cory Everson for ESPN, Marjo Selin even did a Ms. Olympia for ESPN and said the same thing-Femininity has a very important role in women's bodybuilding.
Then you look at the contestant interviews and they are saying the same thing. Then Kim Chezevsky said the same thing after she retired. I know I went to see her seminar live for the Weiders. She said it was very important to her as an example of women's bodybuilding to like like a girl and to be feminine. Lenda Murray said it after she got beat by Iris.
In 2001 when Juliette Bergman won the Ms. Olympia after a comeback to competitive bodybuilding she said in an interview that she wanted to show the ladies that the Ms. Olympia was a "woman with muscles, but first and foremost she was a woman."
With tonight's webcast Nancy DeNino and Chaundra Tangi said the same thing. They both agreed that a goal of the contestant in tonights Ms. International was to incorporate femininity with muscularity, conditioning and symmetry.
Where you or any of your cronies got it into your heads that femininity had nothing to do with women's bodybuilding, I do not know?
You are wrong though.
Address femininity or ignore femininity that is your perogative but femininity is the key component to the successful promotion of women's bodybuilding contests.

I think it is too late to correct the situation in Women Bodybuilding.
I like Women Bodybuilding - Natalia Murnikoviene was my pupil for 4,5 years.
We do try to escape from the problem: plus to very muscular Women Bodybuilding Categories appeared new Figure, Fitness Categories.
What is the result? A great number of Fitness and Figure Athletes could easy be the Winners of previous Bodybuilding "Olympias".
Sportsmen and Judges see the only way - more and more muscles!
And it is nearly impossible to make a Big Stop and to change the mentality, to change the general view on the sport we love.
It is as it is.

They do not need to participate at IFBB nationals.
They just come from other federations and participate at IFBB contests.

Dear friends,
Today we received a letter from USA.
Everybody knows that a few days ago IFBB and NPC prohibited for their Athletes to participate at 2008 WFF-WBBF “Universe” in Las Vegas (July).
Again prohibitions, frightening, sanctions, disqualifications etc…
Nothing new!
But this is against the Law of the USA.
Maybe this is the reason, that no IFBB-NPC Official did not put his signature on the prohibition document…
Acting against the Law and being affright…
Is this is the Policy of International Sport?
