Today we received information from Prague, Czech Republic.
Secretary WFF-WBBF Czech Republic ALENA SLOVAKOVA informs, that the 2009 WFF Pro World Championships will be held in Prague on October 31.
The annual WFF-WBBF International Seminar for Judges and Trainers will be held in Daugavpils (Latvia) again.
The participants will have to cover the theoretical and practical course after which they will receive the WFF-WBBF International Judges and Trainers certificate.
Time of the Seminar:
January 30 (Friday) – arrivals
January 31 (Saturday) - theoretical course
February 1 (Sunday) – practical course.
It was decided that the 2009 WBBF Pro Europe Championship will be held the UK (May 23-25, 2009, Doncaster, UK).
The Contest preparation started already and we will do our best this Pro Show to be a good one.
The prize money for the Pros is standard: 20 000 USD.
There will be 4 usual Categories: two Women and two Men, one Light and one Heavy.
More details are on the way.
Today we received a call from Russia.
President WFF-WBBF Russia ANDREJ BASOV informed that they are planning a number of contests in April-May-June (2009) in Russia.
Among them two International Pro Shows and Russia Championship Open.
WFF-WBBF will start International Contest’s season of the 2009 in March.
That will be the International Contest in Austria (March 21).
After it follow the International Contests in Poland, Ukraine, two in Competitions Germany and again one Austria.
That means the WFF-WBBF International Contests every weekend in April.
Today we received a letter from Sri Lanka:

The Amateur Contest is under the name: «THE SPORTSPN AMATEUR INTERNATIONAL GRAND PRIX».

Once the poster is out(which should be pretty soon) ,I feel Uk body builders will decide.Really we will not know until after the closing date of entries which has been set at 2 weeks before the event for the Pro.Many UK bodybuilders keep their preparations private and get on with their preparations.I feel we will get a number of good competitors entering.

I am looking for a good competitive home for my athletes.
I have tried making contact with NABBA Europe, and NABBA South africa, and to date have not been able to get a reply.
I know there is a co-operative agreement of sorts between NABBA and WBF, is there a chance of having a WBF office open in South Africa, and WBF sanctioned contests held here, I and my athletes have grown
tired of the political infighting amongst the organisations, and even amongst provincial bodies of the same organisation.
All we request is a home were athletes of all ages and races can compete against each other no matter what their other affiliations.
We believe that competition should be open to any who want to compete.
I have been a scrutineer for both IFBB and WPF for more than a decade, and have just redone my IFBB judges course.
I have organized the Splash Bodybuilding festival, provincial shows and national show,Clash of Titans and Muscle Mayhem.
I hope that you would be able to help or point me in the right direction.
