On October 18, 2020 a Great International WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) Contest will be held in Klaipeda (Lithuania). That will be a contest for Amateur and Professional Athletes - the 53-d „Amber Prix International“ and the 25-th Amateur and Professional Europe Championship.
International Event‘s Running Order:
- October 17 – arriving of delegations
- October 18 – competitions
- October 19 – Official Meeting at Parliament Lithuania. International Press Conference at Lithuania News Agency „ELTA“. Departures of Delegations.

BRONE DUBAR
BRONE DUBAR (Broné “Brownie” Dubar, Daubaraite, 1906-1986) together with her parents and four brothers emigrated from Lithuania to the US in 1912. Coming from a family of athletes and thinkers, she believed in the importance of an educated mind and a healthy body. Her brothers were all accomplished athletes, playing in amateur as well as in professional areas of sport: Boxing, Hockey, Skating and Baseball. Chess and books were always a steady diet in the DUBAR household. BRONE DUBAR found swimming and diving to be a natural fit for her and participated in events during high school. Though there were no fitness sport and fitness contests at that time today sport specialists say that BRONE DUBAR was the first fitness athlete in the history. At a time when sport of fitness for women was not common and the first women's Olympics had only been sanctioned in 1920, she would compete or perform whenever she could. This was the reason that fitness performances of BRONE DUBAR were not accepted as sport at that time. By the 1920's BRONE DUBAR was touring and working as an acrobatic and gymnastic dancer. She also promoted women's health and fitness by traveling and putting on one woman and small athletic demonstrations. As a show woman, she considered the impacts of her demonstrations and how to grab the audience's attention, including adding stunts to her repertoire. Show programs of BRONE DUBAR were original. At one demonstration, hosted at a local YMCA, she jumped from a second story balcony above the crowd and dove headlong into a small lap pool as part of her demonstration. BRONE DUBAR incorporated fitness into her acts of performance and frequently headlined as an acrobatic and gymnastic dancer. She often incorporated physical movement familiar to modern viewers as yoga and calisthenics along with examples of natural body strength movement. BRONE’S DUBAR demonstration bookings took her to all corners of the US. From New York to Seattle and from Ohio to California and many places between. Remember that all World bodybuilding pioneers did the same – they traveled in the countries to perform their power programs in public. Most World’s known bodybuilding pioneers did this. In America that were LOUIS CYR (1863-1912 m.) and CHARLES ATLAS (Angelo Siciliano, 1893-1972 m.). BRONE DUBAR primarily was involved in athletic demonstrations from a few years before the 1920's through the 1930's until the war changed the entertainment industry and doomed traveling shows to history. Today many local newspaper archives in the US from the time contain ads for her acts as well as her demonstrations as evidence of her activities.
A very classy woman, BRONE DUBAR learned to be a seamstress when she was young and always dressed immaculately as a result and would sew the latest fashions for herself. Even in advanced age, she looked like she just stepped off the pages of Vogue Magazine.
BRONE DUBAR was not only a woman before her time, but if her history is known and shared, should inspire young woman to seek and excel at athletics and fitness. She has inspired more than one generation in her own family to follow into the World of athletics on both sides of the Atlantic.

IFBB AND NABBA FIFTY YEARS AGO.
Nothing is better than the historic letter of JULIAN BLOMMAERT to BEN WEIDER speaking about the International bodybuilding of the end of seventies and of the beginning of eighties of the last century. On October 1, 1971 the IFBB (International Federation of Body Builders) Europe Chairman JULIEN BLOMMAERT (Belgium) wrote a letter to the owner and the „Life President“ of the IFBB BEN WEIDER.
Note: President IFBB BEN WEIDER gave this letter of JULIEN BLOMMAERT to the IFBB Vice President SERGE NUBRET. Then in 1985 the above mentioned letter as well as other numerous historic and juridical our sport documents were sent by SERGE NUBRET to the contemporary International President WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. In his letter SERGE NUBRET wrote taht DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS is the only one in the USSR to get these documents. World bodybuilding legend SERGE NUBRET was appointed to the position of the IFBB Vice President at the 1970 Belgrade Congress in Yugoslavia. He served at this position until 1975. In 1976 SERGE NUBRET set the International WABBA (World Amateur Body Building Association). SERGE NUBRET thought it will be safe to send the documents to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS who may use them to make the situation in bodybuilding sport more open to public. The documents as well as many other historic bodybuilding articles are kept in the archieves of the International WFF-WBBF federation.
In the letter of JULIAN BLOMMAERT the situation in IFBB and NABBA (National Amateur Body Building Association) is spoken over. At that time in the „Western“ World IFBB and NABBA were the two basic International bodybuilding organizations. In 1968 in the Socialist World started the first International Bodybuilding organization and that was was the „USSR Bodybuilding Committee“. Also in 1968 the historic „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз») bodybuilding contest started.
JULIEN BLOMMAERT wrote in his letter about the 12-th IFBB „Mr. Universe“ (1971) competition. Then the winners were GIUSEPPE DEIANA (Belgium), brother of JULIEN BLOMAERT KARL BLOMAERT and ALBERT BECKLES (UK). In the letter he feels sad about the fact that at the IFBB „Mr. Universe“ contest a NABBA man ALBERT BECKLES won the over all title. JULIEN BLOMMAERT writes that the IFBB „Mr. Universe“ organization was terrible that time and that the level of competitors was very bad. After the contest there was a fight and a number of people were taken to hospital.
Also JULIAN BLOMMAERT speaks about bad judging. He accuses representatives of Communist Countries, Arab and Orinent Countries who organized their own block at the 1970 IFBB Belgrade Congress.
Note: at the IFBB International Belgrade Congress out of 24 Countries present 12 were the „Communist Orients“: Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Malaysia, Pakistan, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Japan, Singapore, Syria and Kenya.
JULIEN BLOMMAERT writes that all of the representatives of the „Communist Orients“ are only dressed like people but in fact they are not civilized.
In the same letter JULIEN BLOMMAERT comments the 1971 NABBA „Mr. Universe“ competition. He thinks that the NABBA position is bright. World‘s best elite bodybuilders are with NABBA: CHRIS DICKERSON, SERGIO OLIVA, BILL PEARL, FRANK ZANE, KEN WALLER, REG PARK etc..
In the letter JULIEN BLOMMAERT accused the International IFBB President BEN WEIDER with taking important decissions alone. This was against the Rules and the Constitution of IFBB that was accepted at the IFBB International Congress in Belgrade. JULIEN BLOMMAERT thinks that it is bad for the IFBB reputation. He asks BEN WEIDER to „awake otherwise everybody will run away from the IFBB and only he and JULIEN BLOMMAERT will remain“.
Note: the same situation was also in 1990 when nearly all IFBB Professional bodybuilders left the IFBB federation and joined the activities of VINCE MAC MAHON.

It's coronavirus times: all gyms are closed worldwide and many people don't have barbells and dumbbells at their homes. However it shouldn't stop anyone from regular training. Quarantine could be a good time to workout more often and improve your physic. You can workout with the weight of your own body and still make a good progress!
If you are a beginner and struggling even with pull-ups, please do not get discouraged. Once, many years ago, I have had similar problems. Long before I started weight training I had gotten used to regular simple exercises. The following easy routine improved my body strength:
1) Wide Grip Push-Ups – Spread your hands 6-8 inches wider than your shoulders. Keep your head in line with your spine, looking up may strain your neck, bend your arms as far as comfortable and then press to the finish. Throughout the exercise keep your back straight; do not drop or raise your hips.
2) Reverse Dips – Stand with your back to a table, bench, couch, chair or other object behind you. Grab the edge of the bench with your hands. Your arms should be fully extended. Move your feet forward and plant your heels on the floor. Lower your body by bending your arms.
3) Crunches – Setting on a chair (your feet secured under a bed or any other sturdy object)
I worked out like that three times a day: before breakfast, lunch, and dinner – and did five sets of ten reps in each exercise. To sum up, I performed a hundred fifty push-ups every day. I had stuck to this plan for a while. And in several months my body was strong enough to do pull-ups, parallel bars dips and dumbbell exercises. You can check all my step-by-step training programs in the great book "3 MORE REPS! The Golden Age of Bodybuilding" by George Snyder and Rick Wayne which was republished last year.
And if you're lucky and do have dumbbells in your house - below is the simple "weight training" routine (should be performed 3-4 times a week):
1. Floor Press, instead of bench, with dumbbells (for chest)
2. Military Press with dumbbells (for shoulders)
3. Dumbbell Curl (stand) (for biceps)
4. Dumbbell French Press (for triceps)
5. Dumbbell Rows, bent over (for back muscles)
6. Dumbbell Squats (for thighs)
7. Leg rises (for abs)
8. Crunches (for abs)
In each exercise with dumbbells you should do 4 sets: 15, 12, 10, 8 reps (try to increase weight in every set). In abs exercises - 3 sets: 15-20 reps. Simple warm up exercises should be performed in the beginning of every workout. By the way, I trained kind of like that during the shooting of my film "Showdown in Manila" (kept my dumbbells even in Philippines jungle).
Dont forget about cardio and try to walk every day for about 30 minutes (instead of gym's elliptical). Finally, the most important thing: stay positive and believe in yourself always!

Today is the special Date. On May 18, 1920 one of the most powerful World Leaders of the 20-th Century was born. It was the Head of the Catholic Church Roman Pope JOHN PAUL II (Karol Józef Wojtyła).
In respect to the Pope JOHN PAUL II a famous Polish Mecenat JERZY GOTOWSKI built a monument of the Pope JOHN PAUL II in the City of Bydgoszcz.
In 2008 the WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International Federation organized World Amateur Championship in Bydgoszcz. Then JERZY GOTOWSKI was one of the main organizers of this event. In memory of the Great Person that was the Pope, JERZY GOTOWSKI presented to the International President DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS a gold framed drop of blood of the JOHN PAUL II.

2020. GLOBAL TELEVISION CNN PRESENTED WFF-WBBF TO A BILLION PEOPLE WORLD WIDE.

Today the International Federation WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) unites 135 Country-Members from all Continents. Every year WFF-WBBF holds over 60 International Events in various Countries.
CNN NEWS PRESENTED WFF-WBBF TO A BILLION PEOPLE WORLD WIDE.
Some time ago the Global CNN (Cable News Network) television made a special report on the WFF-WBBF events that were held in Klaipeda (EU, Republic Lithuania) in May, 2017. That were the 50-th „Amber Prix International“ («Янтарный приз», «Gintarinis Prizas“, 1968-2019) and the 18-th „Universe“ contests. Due to this a billion (milliard) people World Wide had a possibility to see the WFF-WBBF International work.
CNN is one of the World‘s most important International News Television Companies. We do not remember that CNN ever reported about bodybuilding sport before. Positively reported... We are proud that the report was about the WFF-WBBF International Events, that had happened in Lithuania, European Union.
Before this the WFF-WBBF International also had a number of reports on other International Television Companies, such as „Eurosport“, „Sky News“ and many national televisions of various countries through the World.
FOREIGN MINISTRY REPUBLIC LITHUANIA WORKS WITH WFF-WBBF.
Receiving the information about the CNN preparations to make a report from the WFF-WBBF International events in Lithuania, the Lithuania Republic Foreign Ministry officials addressed the International President DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and assisted him in the common work with the CNN television.
WFF-WBBF ALWAYS WAS NON KOMMERCIAL SPORT ORGANIZATION.
During the fivety years of it‘s activities the WFF-WBBF always kept on the real sport side. Though there were various political and economical dificulties, the federation never stopped working on (read historical articles on the International Site www.wff.lt).
WFF-WBBF athletes always had possibilities to seek the highest titles at the International recognized official contests. Historic statistics prove the WFF-WBBF is a prestigeous International Federation among all federations. One can organize several successfull competitions, but it is not the same as the fivety years of serious stable work. The power of the WFF-WBBF – fivety years of constant International Sport work.
Today the valuables of the mankind changed. For most people money means everything. No morality, only money and lies. The 3000 years lasting Bible Concept of Ruling Menkind is close to the end. Today most of International Sport Organizations are commercial. Even WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) seeks profit and this is the reason that not every International Sport Organization can join WADA. Such mentioned above organizations proclame commerce, not sport. It is a theater of absurd now and we were writing about this many times before.
WFF-WBBF will remain conservative and it will not follow other commercial sport organizations. WFF-WBBF will remain on the real sport side and this is our priority.
In difference to other organizations WFF-WBBF collaborates with the recognized International Sport Institutions, National Governmental Structures and representatives of all religions. All of them notice and valuate the WFF-WBBF activities. We see the WFF-WBBF as a strong friendly unit and this is our power.

The 2017 was an extraordinary year for the World Bodybuilding. In 2017 the International Sport Society celebrated the World‘s Oldest Historic Traditional Bodybuilding Contest „Amber Prix International“ (международный турнир „Янтарный приз», tarptautinis “Gintarinio prizo” turnyras) 50-th anniversary (1968-2020).
In 2017 the International Sport Society celebrated the 120-th anniversary of the first bodybuilding contest ever (held in 1898 in England and Russia). Also in 1898 in England the first Bodybuilding „Health and Strenght“ Magazine has been started to issue and it is issued until now by ROY EDWARDS (UK).
In 2017 the International Sport Society celebrated the 90-th anniversary of female fitness sport. It is connected with the famous BRONE‘s DUBAR regular trainings and participation in the New York City in 1927 - 1940. We are glad to state that the Americans started collecting additional historic information about BRONE DUBAR for the coming „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“. Historically BRONE DUBAR with her family emigrated from Lithuania to the US right before the First World War.
WORLD BODYBUILDING ENCYCLOPEDIA.
Crowning it‘s 50 years of International Bodybuilding activities, the WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) works on the unique Global Bodybuilding Project - the „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ («Энциклопедия мирового культуризма», “Pasaulio kultūrizmo enciklopedija”). The Encyclopedia Project works are led by the President WFF-WBBF International DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS.the first part of the Encyclopedia is nearly ready to print.
Until now nobody even tried to work on such a huge International Project. To be frank, only few people can do it. There were attempts to name some works „Encyclopedia“ too, but that were not Encyclopedias of Bodybuilding Sport in real (for example, as Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s „Encyclopedia“ which he has written about himself in person mostly). Every Encyclopedia covers much wider basic things.
Our „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ is based on the fivety years collected Archives of the WFF-WBBF International, the Archivic Documents were presented to us by the Owner and the President of WABBA (World Amateur Body Building Association) SERGE NUBRET (France), the Heads of the UK Public Club NABBA (National Amateur Body Building Association) OSCAR HEIDENSTAM (England) and IVAN DUNBAR (Ireland), the Owners and Heads of the IFBB (International Federation of Body Builders) Commercial Company BEN WEIDER (Canada), PAUL CHUA (Singapore), ALEX BAUER (Austria) and JOSE PARDO HIDALGO (Spain).
Starting with EUGENE SANDOW our „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ covers the period of over 130 years time. It presents over 10 000 known International Bodybuilding Sport personalities who were very important for the World Bodybuilding Sport during the last Century. Important - all these 10 000 Bodybuilding Persons are representing all historically known traditional International Bodybuilding Federations.
Our „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ will be published in various popular languages.
WORLD BODYBUILDING LEGEND – PROFESSOR VASILIJ BESPALENKO.
Ukraine Bodybuilding Legend Professor VASILIJ BESPALENKO (профессор Василий Беспаленко, Lvov) takes a high place in the prestigeous World Ranking List among over eight thousand bodybuilders covering the period of time over one hundred twenty years.
Professor VASILIJ BESPALENKO is the World‘s Oldest Historic Bodybuilding Traditional „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, „Янтарный приз», 1968-2020) Contest Champion, World and Europe Champion, multiple National Champion Ukraine.
In 2018 for his huge social work Professor VASILIJ BESPALENKO was awarded by the WFF-WBBF International with the International Honour Gold Medal and in 2020 he received the Houor Diploma of the UNESCO.
We should underline the unique bodybuilding sport record. Professor VASILIJ BESPALENKO started particiapting at the 1970 „Amber Prix International“ in Klaipeda (Lithuania) and participates until now.
HONOUR PROFESSOR OF UNIVERSITY.
On March 30, 2017 the oldest University of the Republic Ukraine – the Stavropigion University - represented by it’s Rector Professor DSc. JAROSLAV KMIT (Ярослав Кмiт), presented the “Honour Professor” degree for the lecturer of four universities VASILIJ BESPALENKO. VASILIJ BESPALENKO is the pioneer of bodybuilding in Ukraine, a famous athlete and organizer. At the moment VASILIJ BESPALENKO works as the National President WFF-WBBF Ukraine.

2020. SOMETIMES CONTESTS HAVE INTERESTING DETAILS.
MOTORCYCLES AND CARS FOR OVER ALL WINNERS.
WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) organized several Asia Championships in India. International Vice President Professor LALIT KUMAR SONI presented motorcycles for the Champions. Once the Champion tried to refuse to take the motorcycle bacause there was no helmet for it. People started laughing and he changed his mind.
CARS OF THE CZECH IFBB
In 1996 the Czech IFBB (International Federation of Body Builders) organized International Contests in Prague and Brno. President WFF-WBBF International DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS as a VIP Guest by the organizers was invited to this contest. There was a new car to be presented to the Over All Winner. The fight among the participating bodybuilders was between the 1996 IFBB Over All World Junior Champion from Germany and the local Czech bodybuilder. Though the German heavyweight athlete was better, the Czech judges announced the winner is the local one. Trainer of the National Team Germany was in panic about this. Then DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS insisted to make one more judging and comparisions of those two athletes. Again the judges proclaimed the winner the local bodybuilder. Their argument was: „anyway the German bodybuilder can not pass the country border with this car (Republic of Czech was not a EU member then) and they presented one more argument: „it is our contest, it is our car and we give it to whom we want“...
LIES FOR THE ATHLETES. CARS FOR THE WINNERS IN LITHUANIA.
Some years ago a Kaunas city bodybuilding organizer announced that the Over All Winner of his contest will receive a car as a prize. Nice! Many famous athletes were interested to compete then. After the contest everybody learned, that the car was not a new one. To say more – the owner of this car was the contest organizer himself! To say even more – the “judges decided”, that the best athlete was the contest organizer himself as he participated at this competition too. So his own car came back as a prize for him.
CARPETS FOR THE WINNERS.
In 1991 the IFBB International Contest “Mr. Ural” was organized in Russia Ufa City by ALTAF GALEJEV. The organizers announced that the prize for the Over All Winner will be a new hand made carpet. At this contest participated a number of socialist countries, Holland and Germany with USA as well. Germans brought a good team with a famous IFBB bodybuilder AUREL HILLEBRAND. Again, the winner became a local bodybuilder. Trainer of the National Team Germany was in panic saying: “We do not need the carpet, we want fair judging. What I will say in Germany about this?”. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS insisted on another judging and one more comparisons of both athletes. Finally the winner was proclaimed AUREL HILLEBRAND and the local athlete had to give the carpet back…

IFBB AND NABBA FIFTY YEARS AGO.
Nothing is better than the historic letter of JULIEN BLOMMAERT to BEN WEIDER speaking about the International bodybuilding of the end of seventies and of the beginning of eighties of the last century. On October 1, 1971 the IFBB (International Federation of Body Builders) Europe Chairman JULIEN BLOMMAERT (Belgium) wrote a letter to the owner and the „Life President“ of the IFBB BEN WEIDER.
Note: President IFBB BEN WEIDER gave this letter of JULIEN BLOMMAERT to the IFBB Vice President SERGE NUBRET. Then in 1985 the above mentioned letter as well as other numerous historic and juridical our sport documents were sent by SERGE NUBRET to the contemporary International President WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. In his letter SERGE NUBRET wrote taht DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS is the only one in the USSR to get these documents. World bodybuilding legend SERGE NUBRET was appointed to the position of the IFBB Vice President at the 1970 Belgrade Congress in Yugoslavia. He served at this position until 1975. In 1976 SERGE NUBRET set the International WABBA (World Amateur Body Building Association). SERGE NUBRET thought it will be safe to send the documents to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS who may use them to make the situation in bodybuilding sport more open to public. The documents as well as many other historic bodybuilding articles are kept in the archieves of the International WFF-WBBF federation.
In the letter of JULIAN BLOMMAERT the situation in IFBB and NABBA (National Amateur Body Building Association) is spoken over. At that time in the „Western“ World IFBB and NABBA were the two basic International bodybuilding organizations. In 1968 in the Socialist World started the first International Bodybuilding organization and that was was the „USSR Bodybuilding Committee“. Also in 1968 the historic „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз») bodybuilding contest started.
JULIEN BLOMMAERT wrote in his letter about the 12-th IFBB „Mr. Universe“ (1971) competition. Then the winners were GIUSEPPE DEIANA (Belgium), brother of JULIEN BLOMAERT KARL BLOMAERT and ALBERT BECKLES (UK). In the letter he feels sad about the fact that at the IFBB „Mr. Universe“ contest a NABBA man ALBERT BECKLES won the over all title. JULIEN BLOMMAERT writes that the IFBB „Mr. Universe“ organization was terrible that time and that the level of competitors was very bad. After the contest there was a fight and a number of people were taken to hospital.
Also JULIAN BLOMMAERT speaks about bad judging. He accuses representatives of Communist Countries, Arab and Orinent Countries who organized their own block at the 1970 IFBB Belgrade Congress.
Note: at the IFBB International Belgrade Congress out of 24 Countries present 12 were the „Communist Orients“: Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Malaysia, Pakistan, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Japan, Singapore, Syria and Kenya.
JULIEN BLOMMAERT writes that all of the representatives of the „Communist Orients“ are only dressed like people but in fact they are not civilized.
In the same letter JULIEN BLOMMAERT comments the 1971 NABBA „Mr. Universe“ competition. He thinks that the NABBA position is bright. World‘s best elite bodybuilders are with NABBA: CHRIS DICKERSON, SERGIO OLIVA, BILL PEARL, FRANK ZANE, KEN WALLER, REG PARK etc..
In the letter JULIEN BLOMMAERT accused the International IFBB President BEN WEIDER with taking important decissions alone. This was against the Rules and the Constitution of IFBB that was accepted at the IFBB International Congress in Belgrade. JULIEN BLOMMAERT thinks that it is bad for the IFBB reputation. He asks BEN WEIDER to „awake otherwise everybody will run away from the IFBB and only he and JULIEN BLOMMAERT will remain“.
Note: the same situation was also in 1990 when nearly all IFBB Professional bodybuilders left the IFBB federation and joined the activities of VINCE MAC MAHON.

2020. NO OTHER INTERNATIONAL BODYBUILDING FEDERATION HAS IT‘S OWN MAGAZINE, BUT WFF-WBBF.
WORLD BODYBUILDING HISTORY.
Today the WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International unites 135 Country – Members and organizes every year nearly 60 anual Am and Pro International Events World Wide. Looking from the juridic point of view the WFF-WBBF International is no doubt the Real World Bodybuilding Leader.
WFF-WBBF International started issuing the International Magazines in various languages in 1989. The WFF-WBBF Magazines are spread free of charge during the most important International Sport Events World Wide and also in all Country-Members of the Federation. The Magazines can be found in many basic State Libraries. Once the German Leizig State Library addressed the WFF-WBBF International asking the Federation Magazines for the readers.
We would like to underline that no other known International Bodybuilding Sport Organization has it‘s own International Magazine, but the WFF-WBBF.
Not long ago the Sport Ministry Lithuania informed the WFF-WBBF International that the WFF-WBBF Magazines will be Representing sport of Republic Lithuania Internationally.
ARNOLD SCWARZENEGGER RECOMMENDS
The first WFF-WBBF International Magazine (1989) was the famous methodical issue „Arnold Scwarzenegger Recommends“ („Арнольд Шварценеггер рекомендует»). At that time many East Europe Bodybuilders were short of the methodical knowlidge and that was the reason of the 2 000 000 sucessfull issues of the magazine. The „Arnold Scwarzenegger Recommends“ bacame the real „Cathekizmus“ for most bodybuilders of that time. It was spread in the countries of former USSR and East Europe. Several generations of today‘s bodybuilders grew up under these magazines.

The WFF-WBBF working publishing group is led by the Member International Journalist Association the International WFF-WBBF President DSc EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. For the period of the last 30 years the WFF-WBBF International published 37 International Magazines under various names in various languages.

Our magazines You can find easy at any State Library of Lithuania. Several years ago German State Leipzig Library addressed the WFF-WBBF International asking to send them our magazines. So we did then.
WORLD BODYBUILDING ENCYCLOPEDIA
Crowning it‘s 50 years of International Bodybuilding activities, the WFF-WBBF) works on the Unique Global International Bodybuilding Project - the „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ («Энциклопедия всемирного культуризма»).
Until now nobody even tried to work on such a huge International Project. To be frank, only few people can do it. There were attempts to name some previous works as „Encyclopedia“ too, but that were not Encyclopedias of Bodybuilding Sport in real (for example, as Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s „Encyclopedia“ was written about himself in person mostly). In real every Encyclopedia covers much wider things.

SOCIALIST COUNTRIES BODYBUILDING LITERATURE.
Before the prohibition of bodybuilding in the middle of the sixties of the last century in all Socialist World Countries the only one regular magazine about bodybuilding sport was Polish „Sport Dla Wszystkich“. At that time Lithuanians presented the basics of bodybuilding in the magazine „The Student“(„Moksleivis“).
Through the time of the prohibition of bodybuilding sport in the Socialist Countries nobody even dreamed about the bodybuilding literature. The exception was in Czechoslovakia Bratislava issued „Trener“ Magazine and the German DDR (Deutsches Demokratik Republik) Weight Lifting Magazine „The Weightlifter‘s Training“ ( „Schwer Atlet Training“) which started to publish some information about our sport. During this time DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS used to give articles and contest information for these Magazines. Also for BEN WEIDER‘S „Flex“ magazine. All magazines used to publishe the DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS given materials. First of all it was information from the World‘s Oldest Traditional Bodybuilding Contest, the only one anual International Bodybuilding Event in all Socialist Counties, the „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, „Янтарный приз», 1968-2017). The above mentioned Czechoslovakia „Trener“ Magazines were published by JOZEF MAZAK and later by MILAN PERDOCH.
International WFF-WBBF worked and still works on the documents and various materials of World‘s Bodybuilding History. The WFF-WBBF „Sport of Fitness and Bodybuilding“ Magazine started in English, Russian and Lithuanian languages in 1989. During this period of time the WFF-WBBF printed and spread through the World several millions copies of the Magazine. „Sport of Fitness and Bodybuilding“ is awailable at the National WFF-WBBF federations in all 134 Country - members of the WFF-WBBF International as well as at the most important World‘s International Bodybuilding and Fitness Events.
Main articles of the „Sport of Fitness and Bodybuilding“ Magazine were published in various Internet Pages, sport and public media, among them regularly in Spanish „Fitness Alive“ (Argentina, Magazine for South America and Spain), in German „Fitness News“ (Austria, Magazine for Germany, Austria and Switzerland), in English „Strenght and Health“ (UK, Magazine for England, Scotland and Ireland), in Russian „Zeleznyj Mir“ (Russia, for Russia and Post Soviet Russian Speaking Countries and etc..).
At the beginning a number of the WFF-WBBF Magazines were of methodical character. These Magazines were teaching the bodybuilders how to train from the primityve beginning to the Top Professional Level. Through decades the President WFF-WBBF International DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS collected and translated materials and documents from different possible sources, analised, evaluated and systemized them and finally presented as methodical recommendations for the sportsmen. That were a number of popular International Seria Magazines under the titles like “ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER recommends”, “Training Programs of the World’s Best Bodybuilders”, “Bodybuilding Stars Recommend” etc..). Ending the 90-ties of the last century basing on these Magazines a number of new generations of bodybuilders were born and educated. Wishing to have these Magazines in their collections the libraries of a number of Countries addressed the International WFF-WBBF Headquarters (like German State Library of Leipzig, Germany).
Today the WFF-WBBF „Sport of Fitness and Bodybuilding“ („Sportinis fitnesas ir kultūrizmas“, „Спортивный фитнес и культуризм») magazine has only informative International character but this makes it to be even more important. The Magazine covers most important World‘s Bodybuilding and Fitness Events and it gives true situation of sport on Official International Level, sets the goals of the sport for the future. Nobody else in the World does it, but the WFF-WBBF.
