Today the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International unites 140 Country – Members and organizes nearly 60 annual Amateur and Professional International Events World Wide. Looking from the juridical point of view the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International is no doubt the Real World Bodybuilding Leader.
Crowning it‘s 50 years of International Bodybuilding activities, the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. works on the Unique Global International Bodybuilding Project - the „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ («Энциклопедия всемирного культуризма», “Pasaulio kultūrizmo enciklopedija”).
AVERY BRUNDAGE
Since 1952 until 1972 American AVERY BRUNDAGE (1887 – 1975 m.) was the President of the I.O.C. (International Olympic Committee). In the Olympic history he was the only one USA representative at this high International position. Most people remember AVERY BRUNDAGE in connection with the 1936 and the 1972 Olympic Games which both were organized in Germany. AVERY BRUNDAGE connection with sport started in 1919 thorugh A.A.U. (Amateur Athlets Union). At that time A.A.U. was the most important in A.O.C. (American Olympic Committee). In 1925 AVERY BRUNDAGE was the Vice President of the A.A.U. and since 1925 until 1935 he was the President of the A.A.U.. In 1929 for the next twenty years AVERY BRUNDAGE was ellected to the position of the President of the A.O.C.. In 1931 the I.O.C. decided to organize the 1936 Summer and Winter Olympic Games in Germany. AVERY BRUNDAGE supported this decision as he always liked the Nazi Germany. After destroyng the Russian Empire Russians did not participated in the Olympic games. AVERY BRUNDAGE wanted Russia back to the movement. U.S.S.R. started participating at the various International sport organizations in 1946. In 1951 I.O.C. recognized the N.O.C. (National Olympic Committee) of the U.S.S.R.. In 1954 AVERY BRUNDAGE visited the U.S.S.R. and liked the work done with the massive sports.
It is clearly seen looking through the biography of AVERY BRUNDAGE how he hepled the Owner of the „First USA Bodybuilding Empire“ and the „Father of the USA Weightlifting“ BOB HOFFMAN to seek the official recognition of the bodybuilding sport. Both of them worked together in the A.A.U., A.O.C., F.I.H.C. ir I.O.C..
