Crowning it‘s 50 years of International Bodybuilding activities, the WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) works on the unique Global Bodybuilding Project - the „Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding“ («Энциклопедия современного культуризма»). The Encyclopedia will cover the period of International Activities of the last 50 years and it will present over 500 Best World Bodybuilders.

UKRAINE BODYBUILDING AND FITNESS.
Historically the first representative of Ukraine on International level was VASILIJ BESPALENKO (Василий Беспаленко, City Lvov) and that was fourty years in the beginning of seventies. Due to political reasons bodybuilding was prohibited and prosecuted in the USSR. Then VASILIJ BESPALENKO together with other Ukraine Athletes used to participate at the „Amber Prix International“ (1968-2012) in Lithuanian Klaipeda City. In real „Amber Prix International“ was the unofficial USSR Bodybuilding Championship and the World Championship of the Socialist Countries. Proving this the USSR Sport Ministry (Goskomsport) used to give the „USSR Sport Master“ degrees for the „Amber Prix International“ Champions (you can see the documents of this on the International Site www.wff.lt, read articles, find documents in the forum topics „International Bodybuilding Organizations“, „World Oldest Bodybuilding Contest AMBER PRIX INTERNATIONAL“, „World‘s Bodybuilding History. How it was in real“).
During the „perestrojka“ time more and more Ukraine bodybuilders appear and they regularly represent a number of new regions at the „Amber Prix International“. Among them contest organizer ARKADIJ KASANSKIJ (Аркадий Кашанский) and bodybuilders OLEG ZUR (Олег Жур) and VALERIJ LUCAK (Валерий Луцак).
During the last period of time Ukraine at the International activities of the WFF-WBBF International was represented by the National Presidents SPARTAK VASKOVSKIJ (Спартак Васьковский), VIKTORIJA POSMITINA (Виктория Посмитина) and MARGARITA OLEFIRENKO (Маргарита Олефиренко). From 2012 the National President WFF-WBBF Ukraine is OLGA GLADKOVA (Ольга Гладкова) and she has been recognized by the WFF-WBBF International for this position.
2013. WFF-WBBF AMATEUR EUROPE CHAMPIONSHIP
The WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) Europe Championship Open will be held on June 1, 2013 in one of the biggest Ukranine Charkov City (over 1 500 000 Cityzen). The Venue is the famous Charkov „Ukraine“ Culture Palace. It is a tradition that the Europe Championship is Open and the participants from other Continents will take part at the Event too.
As never before the Over All Winner will receive a unique big and valuable Prize. Such a high level International Bodybuilding Event hes never been organized in Charkov City before.
At the Europe Championship Opening Ceremonies and numerous VIP Meetings the WFF-WBBF World Champion, three times Over All „Universe“ Winner, the famous Hollywood Actor and Producer, called „Russia Schwarzenegger“ ALEKSANDR NEVSKY (Александр Невский) will be present too.
INTERNATIONAL BODYBUILDING CHAIRMEN CAME TO CHARKOV, UKRAINE.
Presenting the WFF-WBBF International activities in Ukraine and other countries in February, 2013 the the WFF-WBBF International Chairmen came together to Charkov.
Executive Council Congress and several Press Conferences was held in Charkov Press Center and popular TV Headquarters.
Together with the Heads of the National WFF-WBBF federation Ukraine at the Congress and Conference participated the President WFF-WBBF International EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS (Эдмундас Даубарас), Vice President WFF-WBBF International ANDREJ BASOV (Андрей Басов), President WFF-WBBF Europe VLADIMIR KURILCIK (Владимир Курильчик), President WFF-WBBF Ukraine OLGA GLADKOVA.
LOTS OF DISABLED SPORTSMEN WILL PARTICIPATE AT EUROPE CHAMPIONSHIP.
Visiting City Charkov, International Bodybuilding Leaders had the Official Meeting with the Chairman Disabled Sport Charkov Organization „Vitasport“ ALEKSANDR GROMOV (Александр Громов).
ALEKSANDR GROMOV confirmed that over 50 Disabled Ukraine Sportsmen will take part at the 2013 WFF-WBBF Europe Championship in Charkov City.
CITY MAJOR LEADS WFF-WBBF EUROPE CHAMPIONSHIP.
Being in Ukraine City Charkov the Heads of the International WFF-WBBF federation took part at the International Congress. The 2013 WFF-WBBF Europe Championship Organizing Committee was elected at the Congress. The Chairman of the Organizing Committe is the Charkov City Vice Major ALEKSANDR POPOV (Александр Попов). The Organizing Committe spoke over the questions of the venue, transport, hotels for the coming 2013 WFF-WBBF Europe Championship participants.
INTERNATIONAL PRESS CONFERENCES AND THE CONGRESS.
Presenting the WFF-WBBF International activities in Ukraine and other countries in February, 2013 the WFF-WBBF International Executive Council Congress and several Press Conferences were held in Charkov Press Center and popular TV Headquarters.

2013. WFF-WBBF INTERNATIONAL SIGNED MEMORANDUM WITH HEAD CITY CHARKOV ADMINISTRATION.
During the Official Visit to Ukraine in Charkov the President WFF-WBBF International EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS has signed the Memorandum with the Vice Chairman City Charkov ALEKSANDR POPOV. The Memorandum Ceremony took place at the Headquarters Major City Charkov. Also at the Ceremony were present a number of high WFF-WBBF International and Charkov City Officials and the President WFF-WBBF Ukraine OLGA GLADKOVA.
The Memorandum declares common mutual activities organizing the coming 2013 WFF-WBBF Europe Amateur Championship in Charkov.
Right after the Memorandum Ceremony a wide press conference was held at the Headquarters Major City Charkov for the occassion.
INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR FOR TRAINERS.
It was decided, that right after the 2013 WFF-WBBF Amateur Europe Championship in Charkov WFF-WBBF International will organize the International Seminar for trainers.
Ukraine trainers will participate at the theoretical and practical courses and works and after the examination they will get the International Trainer‘s Certificate tht are giving the permitino to work as trainers. Basing on the International Trainer‘s Certificates today trainers are working in 14 Europe, America and Asia Countries.
There are over 300 big gyms in Charkov and the trainers will get a good chance to enlarge their knowlidge.
According the Charkov International Trainer‘s Seminar programme, the Seminar lecturers will represent Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

In 2012 the WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International Headquarters received a letter from the State Vatican.
Sending this Honourable Blessing Letter the Pontific BENEDETTO XVI once again positively evaluated the efforts of the WFF-WBBF International.

1. BODYBUILDING HISTORY. BEN WEIDER. HOW IT WAS IN REAL
During the last fourty years International President WFF-WBBF (World Fitness federation, World Body Building Federation) EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS personally took part at many most important International historic bodybuilding events. At many of them EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was not only a participant, but even many of these events had happened under his initiative.
During all his active life in sport EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was always in good friendly relations with the International Bodybuilding Top Personalities: BEN WEIDER, WAYNE DE MILIA, PAMELA KAGAN, PAUL CHUA, SERGE NUBRET, OSCAR HEIDENSTAM, IVAN DUNBAR, VOJTECH FIALA. During a long period of time to set some definite questions the Owner and life President of the IFBB (International Federation of Body Builders) BEN WEIDER many times used to ask EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to meet his assistant RAFAEL SANTONJA. Even today EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS communicates with nearly all International bodybuilding leaders who play important role in the World‘s Sport movement.
Personal relations of EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS with BEN WEIDER had and still have big value. Due to these relations EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was always in the centre of important International activities. These relations with BEN WEIDER gave him opportunity to get the information that others could not get. This gave the possibility for EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to influence many important International bodybuilding events. Rich WFF-WBBF archieves prove decades lasting relations, personal meetings and correspondence with BEN WEIDER.
BEN WEIDER in his private magazines many times published materials sent by EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. Much attention in Weider‘s magazines had been given for even now one of the World‘s oldest still runnig International „Amber Prix“ Contest (1968-2011). For many years „Amber Prix International“ was the unofficial bodybuilding Championship of the USSR (for many years bodybuilding was prohibited in the USSR, Union Soviet Socialist Republics). For most time of the history of „Amber Prix International“ EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was the main organizer of this event. And still he is (under the WFF-WBBF). Evaluating the importance of the „Amber Prix International“ a number of times BEN WEIDER sent his own Diplomas for the „Amber Prix“ Champions. It was BEN WEIDER to press Vice President IFBB International PAUL CHUA and President IFBB Israel ASHER FRIG to send their teams to Klaipeda (Lithuania) to participate at the „Amber Prix International“. It was BEN WERDER to give the order for his Spanish assistant RAFAEL SANTONJA to host „Amber Prix“ Champions at the IFBB Mediteranian Contest held in Marocco (see letters of BEN WEIDER, http://www.wff.lt, read forum). Finally relations between EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and BEN WEIDER reached such a level, that BEN WEIDER asked to stop discussing and making decissions via correspondence and to start settle all important questions at the common private meetings. During a definite period a number of meetings of EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and BEN WEIDER were held - Leningrad, Moscow (USSR, Russia), Paris (France), Kuala Lampur (Malaysia), New York (USA). EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was always a personal guest of BEN WEIDER. BEN WEIDER had been ready to meet EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS at any possible time even postponing his other works and duties. The top culmination of the relations was when both decided to set a Joint-Venture Company (protocol of intentions, November 25, 1990, Helmsley Palace, New Yourk, USA, archieves WFF-WBBF International).
No matter that later on EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS went his own way and started the WFF-WBBF International, no matter he stopped his official contacts with the IFBB, he has always been in friendly relations with BEN WEIDER. Even when EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was already leading WFF-WBBF International but keeping old common contacts BEN WEIDER used to send him the IFBB magazines and materials (until BEN WEIDER stepped away and sold his private IFBB magazines in 2000).
2.BODYBUILDING HISTORY. PROHIBITED SPORT. HOW IT WAS IN REAL
Let us speak about one more historical moment of bodybuilding and let You judge about us by our works, not words.
For quite a long period of time bodybuilding was prohibited in the USSR and it was not supported in all socialist World. Everywhere gyms were closed, contests prohibited, sportsmen were prosecuted, media flew as maximum dirt as possible to bodybuilding. Under pressure of the Communist Party the Ministry Sport USSR (Union Soviet Socialist Republics) issued a strict order against bodybuilding and this way they had a law basis to follow bodybuilders. For many years of prosecution in the Sport Ministry (Goskomsport) employed former weightlifter E.MOROZ (later V.TAMARLAKOV) had been responsible for bodybuilding. A step below of them was another one representative Lithuanian ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS. Everybody was afrayed to fight or even to say a single word to stand for bodybuilding. As in such a wide territory nobody organized bodybuilding contetsts, but EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS dared to do it first with „Amber Prix International“ in Klaipeda (Lithuania). ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS and other high officials wanted to stop him saying that in case the new procecutions started they are not going to loose their Communist Party certificates and they will stay away from EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. Nevertheless E.DAUBARAS did it on his own risk. The contest in Klaipeda took place, only the EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS played his game with the Sport Ministry and he had to make some artificial changes adding power exercises to the usual programme. Just after this EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS started active correspondence with the Sport Ministry USSR as well as with main USSR political media: newspapers „Pravda“, „Izvestija“, „Soviet Sport“, which used to publishe awfull articles against bodybuilding (like „Trijanskij kon kulturizma“..). Then EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS wrote a number of articles protecting bodybuilding and started to collect signatures of known people under these articles. It became the pettition to unite people to protect bodybuilding sport (these historic materials are in the archieves of the WFF-WBBF International (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation). Then EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS on his risk went to Moscow to register and present these materials at the Central Committe Communst Party USSR and Ministry Council USSR. When back to Lithuania EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS sterted to receive lots of calls from the Central Committe Communst Party USSR. The discussion started. It was evident that some positive agreement may happen. That bothered Lithuanian Communist Leaders. Finally the telepfone of EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was totally swiched off line and they invited EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to Klaipeda Headquarters asking to stop pushing highest USSR officials. At the same time though bodybuilding was a prohibited sport they gave EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS permittion to organize anual „Amber Prix International“ in Klaipeda. It is not a secret that for many years „Amber Prix International“ was the only one International bodybuilding contest in the Socialist World and until 1988 it served as a not official Championship of the USSR. If not the „Amber Prix International“ nuobody knows what would have been the history of bodybuilding in the USSR and all Socialist World. Nobody knows how the Socialist bodybuilding sport would have met the first USA bodybuilders that came to the USSR under the leadership of the Owner and life President IFBB (International Federation of Body Builders) BEN WEIDER. BEN WEIDER was an old personal friend of EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. For many years they bogth had active correspondence, a number of mutual meetings in various countries. Finally they were working on the setting a Join-Venture Company (again these documents are in the archieves of the WFF-WBBF International (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation).
3.BODYBUILDING HISTORY. HOW IT WAS IN REAL. COMMUNIST PARTY PROCLAMES THE CHAMPION
In 2011 WFF-WBBF (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) held the 43-d „Amber Prix International“ (1968 – 2011) Contest in Kaunas (Lithuania). Bodybuilding specialists and fans know very much about this World’s Oldest Competition. For many years when Bodybuilding Sport was prohibited in the Socialist Countries (especially in the USSR) the “Amber Prix International” used to be like the World Championship of the Socialist Countries, the unofficial Championship of the USSR. Having in mind the high level of the Event and it’s political value to the International Sport, various special services and secret structures followed it. The importance of the “Amber Prix International” proves the fact, that right after the “Perestrojka” started the Ministry of Sport USSR (Goskomsport) started to give highest honorable “Soviet Sport Master” degrees and other privileges for the Champions of this Competition.
The 1981 “Amber Prix International” was exceptional with the Socialist State Politics. Russian weightlifter E.MOROZ was responsible for the Bodybuilding Sport in the Ministry Sport USSR then. But the real working President Russia Bodybuilding Federation was VLADIMIR SUBOV in fact. After Russian Bodybuilder VLADIMIR DUBININ lost his titles against Estonian OLEV ANNUS and Lithuanian PRANAS MURAUSKAS in 1974, he was out of the game for many years. VLADIMIR DUBININ appeared in sport society at the “Amber Prix International” in Klaipeda only in 1986.
Then in 1981 at the Meeting International Judges Council participated EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS, VLADIMIR SUBOV, ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS, ARKADIJ KASANSKIJ, ALEKSANDRAS NOVIKOVAS and some other International Level Judges and Organizers. President Lithuania Bodybuilding Federation ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS told the Judges that it is high time to change the Leading Bodybuilder and to stop the successful career of Estonian Athlete OLEV ANNUS. At that time already twice winning the “Amber Prix International” and a number of International Events in Poland, Hungary and Czechoslovakia OLEV ANNUS was the sole Leader among Bodybuilders of the Socialist Countries. Under the pressure of ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS the Judges did as he told them. The Over All Winner’s Title at the 1981 “Amber Prix International” went to Lithuanian Sportsman SAULIUS MISEVICIUS. Loosing the battle OLEV ANNUS was in shock. He has written letters accusing the International Judges but the result was impossible to change.
In 2010 at the WFF-WBBF Am and Pro World Championship in Slovakia Brusno Kupele resort VLADIMIR SUBOV came there with the National Team Germany. Having possibilities to speak free now he explained the political situation of the 1981. He told us that the sport life of OLEV ANNUS was decided in Moscow long before he participated in Klaipeda at the 1981 “Amber Prix International”. Then the USSR Communist Party Central Committee ruled everything, sport too. Having information that OLEV ANNUS wants to leave the Soviet Union the USSR Communist Party Propaganda Council gave orders to the Sport Ministry USSR and E.MOROZ gave orders to ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS – get down the Estonian Bodybuilder. So using the Judges he did.
