INTRODUCTION
Today the World Fitness Federation (WFF) and the World Bodybuilding Federation (WBBF) are the only ones officially registered by Law International Social Non Profit Sport Federations World Wide (we mean Bodybuilding and Fitness). All other Subjects naming themselves as “International Social Sport Organizations” are not registered as such or they are registered as a kind of private properties (Companies, Corporations etc..). Often the above mentioned Subjects register the Name and the Logo. But the official registration means the registration of the Constitution at the very moment of the registration of the Organization. Every commercial firm or any social organization (in our case International Sport Federation) live basing on the registered Constitution. The registered Constitution is the Law of any Organization. So called “Constitutions” that are not registered by Law have no juridical value as you can change them any moment you want.
Today the WFF and the WBBF International federations representing all Continents unite members from 90 Countries.
In 2007 the International Congress separated Bodybuilding and Fitness and now we have the WBBF-International representing International Bodybuilding Sport and WFF-International representing International Fitness Sport World Wide.
From 2007 basing on the most progressive ideas of the European Union (EU) the WFF organizes World and Europe “Fit-Kid”, Model Fitness and Disabled Sportsmen Championships. Supported by the State Institutions the 2008 WFF Europe Amateur Championship was held in Klaipeda (Lithuania) and the 2008 WFF World Amateur Championship was held in Bydgoszcz (Poland). The initiative of the WFF was supported by a number of other members of the EU: the WFF-International “Fit-Kid” Contests were organized in Austria, Czech, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Estonia and Lithuania.
WADA
In 2007 the WFF-International recognized the World Anti Doping Code and signed the Contract with WADA (World Anti Doping Agency). At the same time the definite period of time was given to the WBBF-International to get prepared to recognize the World Anti Doping Code.
The Director General of WADA RUNE ANDERSEN welcomed the actions of the WFF joining the International Sport Federations which recognized the Code.
IMPORTANT DATES
The 2008 was full of important dates that were celebrated by the World’s Sport Society:
- 110 years of Bodybuilding (1898-2008)
- 80 years of Fitness (1928-2008)
- 40 years of the “Amber Prix International” (1968-2008).
COMPETITIONS
There was a number of important International Contests in 2008:
- WFF-WBBF Amateur World Championship, Bydgoszcz, Poland
- WFF Professional World Championship (15 000 USD), Prague Zofin Barocco Palace, Czech
- WBBF Professional World Championship (20 000 USD), Vilnius, Lithuania
- “Amber Prix International” (1968-2008), Klaipeda, Lithuania
- WFF-WBBF Amateur “Universe”, Vilnius, Lithuania
- WFF-WBBF World Grand Prix, Eretria, Greece
- WFF-WBBF Amateur Europe Championship, Klaipeda, Lithuania
- WFF-WBBF Professional Europe Championship (20000 USD), Klaipeda, Lithuania.
There were official 2008 WFF-WBBF Continental Championships: South American Championship in Argentina, North American Championship in Mexico.
At the same time there were successful WFF-WBBF International Contests in Linz, Graz, Brucke, Fohnsdorf (all Austria), Eretria (Greece), Banska Bystrica (Slovakia), Prague (Czech), Daugavpils (Latvia), Rakvere (Estonia), Trakay, Telshiai, Panevezys, Palanga, Klaipeda, Vilnius (all Lithuania).
Most of the 90 WFF-WBBF International Country-Members organized 2008 National Championships.
EVENTS
In spring the World’s VIP Meeting and the Banquet “FRIENDS OF ARNOLD SCHWARCENEGGER” were held in Duisburg (Germany). The President WFF-WBBF International EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was invited to these events too.
Attending the ARNOLD SCHWARCENEGGER Foto Exhibitions in Essen and Duisburg (Germany) the WFF-WBBF International received a proposal from the President Parliament Austria Professor ALFRED GERSTL and the President National WFF-WBBF federation Austria PETER PAPULA to organize this Exhibition in Lithuania. So the ARNOLD SCHWARCENEGGER Foto Exhibition was organized at the Klaipeda LCC International University (Lithuania) during the 2008 WFF-WBBF Europe Championship.
PRESS CONFERENCES
In 2008 the WFF-WBBF International organized a number of wide Press Conferences.
The most important was one at the Headquarters President City Bydgoszcz KONSTANTY DOMBROWICZ (Poland) and another at the Lithuania News Agency ELTA with the Member Parliament Republic Lithuania JULIUS DAUTARTAS present.
INTERNATIONAL CONGRESSES
During the 2008 the Executive Council WFF-WBBF International several times gathered at the International Congresses: June, Eretria (Greece), October, Prague (Czech), November, Vilnius, Lithuania).
Loosing the International positions NABBA (National Amateur Body Building Association) leaders addressed the WFF-WBBF to unite the common efforts under the guidance of the WFF-WBBF International. For this purpose the 2008 WFF-WBBF World Grand Prix and the International Congress were organized in Eretria (Greece). Preparing these International Events famous Greek organizers ANASTASIA and VASILIOS SERETIS did their best.
AWARDS
In 2008 in recognition of the great International work done to promote the sport World Wide the WFF-WBBF International awarded the President Parliament Austria Professor ALFRED GERSTL and JERZY GOTOWSKI (Poland) with the International WFF Honor Gold Medals.
The WFF Honor Silver Medal was presented to the Minister Sport Republic Poland ZBIGNIEW PACELT.
At the same time the President WFF-WBBF International EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS together with the Governor California ARNOLD SCHWARCENEGGER and the famous USA sport promoter BRUCE BELLAS was awarded and included into the Hall of Fame of Denmark.
NORTH AMERICA
Analyzing the last twenty years we see that the Bodybuilding and Fitness sport initiative went from the USA to Europe. The sport in the USA is somehow isolated from the important International Events. During the last two or even three decades National Teams USA hardly participated at the Amateur or Professional World Championships. The USA did not organize World Championships in the Country. All Contests in the USA are the commercial ones only. The sport became so commercial in the USA that no social work is done neither to the social society (massive overweighs..) nor for the competitive sport. It is a pity, that having no real strong sport leaders to solve the problems in the USA the Country looses it’s International Positions.
The WFF-WBBF International in the USA is represented by MICHAEL GLASS who is the President WFF-WBBF for North America too. During the last years MICHAEL GLASS visited Europe several times, attended Amateur and Professional World Championships, took part in the International Press Conferences, was among the WFF-WBBF International delegates in the Parliament Republic Lithuania. Though it is not easy to change the situation in the USA quickly, but step by step everything gets better.
At the moment Mexico plays a very positive role.
At the same time under the lead of the President National Federation WFF-WBBF Mexico Doctor MANUEL SOLANO during the last years Mexico organized a number of the WFF-WBBF International Contests, Continental Championships. At the same time Mexico sportsmen were placing high at the International Events held in Europe.
SOUTH AMERICA
In 2004 the famous Argentina sport organizer JORGE CEDALE visited Europe. After being elected to the position of the President WFF-WBBF South America JORGE CEDALE organized a number of annual WFF-WBBF International Contests in Argentina. He united the sport organizations of Venezuela, Uruguay, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay. South America teams participate at various International Contests and use to place high at the World Amateur and Professional Championships.
The “Fitness Alive” Magazine issued in Argentina in Spanish helps to coordinate the International Sport work in the Continent.
ASIA
The situation in Asia was and still is complicated. The main problem is a political one. Nevertheless the WFF-WBBF International does it’s best to unite and to coordinate the sport organizations in the area. In 2006 and 2007 the WFF-WBBF organized Asia Championships in Russia.
The WFF-WBBF International Headquarters has intensive correspondence with lots of Asia sport organizers and sportsmen.
During the last years Athletes and Delegates from the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Philippines, India, Pakistan, Iran participated at the WFF-WBBF International Contests. The National Sport Organizations of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Maldives are very active now. The WFF-WBBF Official in Asia INDUNIL R.RAJAKARUNA, does his best to unite the efforts of the Asia Countries and to make the International Sport situation better.
AFRICA
It is the 40 years lasting tradition that Bodybuilding and Fitness in Africa is lead by the Republic of South Africa (RSA), Egypt and Morocco. Algeria and Cameroon try to join the Africa International Movement too.
Looking forward the RSA plans to organize World Bodybuilding Championship for the University Students.
At the beginning of 2009 TOMMY DU RAND from RSA was elected to the position of the WFF-WBBF Official for the Continent and we expect the International Sport situation in the Continent becomes much better.
FUTURE VISION
Positive and powerful initiatives of the WFF-WBBF International enlarges and strengthens the International Federation every day. Entering the year of 2009 the WFF-WBBF works on many great International Projects. Basing on the today’s reality the WFF-WBBF Federation will do it’s best to make these Projects be really fulfilled and the goals reached and achieved.
This year the WFF-WBBF has big International projects in India, UK, Argentina, Mexico, Russia, Ukraine, Austria, Czech, Slovakia, Poland, Germany and Lithuania.
Every year the WFF-WBBF International organizes the International Seminar for the Professional Trainers and Judges.
Receiving the International Trainer’s Certificates sport specialists work in the USA, Israel, Italy, Poland, UK, Ireland and in many East Europe Countries. The 2009 WFF-WBBF International Trainer’s Seminar was held in Daugavpils (Latvia).
The WFF-WBBF in English, Russian and Lithuanian issues “Sport of Fitness and Bodybuilding” magazine and the DVD’s from the most important International Sport Contests. The magazines and the DVD’s are spread among the 90 WFF-WBBF Country-Members and are presented during the most important International Sport Events World Wide.

У нас жизнь идет своим чередом. Президент кризис не объявлял. Но он как-то просочился и все это очень чувствуют. Зато президент сказал, что этот год в стране будет годом спорта. Что бы это значило..?
Белорусская команда по фитнесу готовится (а как же! Год спорта!) принять и поучаствовать. Читаем сайт, ждем утверждения мест и дат. Уже хотим в Индию, обязательно в Литву, надеюсь, у меня получится в Англию, интересно, когда Басов будет проводить матчи.. (Много виз открывать, однако :-) надо будет в этот раз задолго заранее браться за это, чтобы все вовремя и без суеты..).

Today we received a call from the UK.
LAURENCE CADE from London wants to join the WFF-WBBF UK and assist the President WFF-WBBF UK DAYO AUDI in organizing the 2009 WBBF Pro Europe Championship in Doncaster as well as the federation work in the Country.

Today we received a call from Russia.
Pro Division Director WFF-WBBF International ANDREJ BASOV informed, that he is negotiating about organizing two 2009 Pro Events in Russia.
He got the positive answer from the Governmental Institutions of Moscow City Administration to organize the 2009 WBBF Pro Event in Moscow in November.
The official representatives of the Moscow City Administration are planning to come to Lithuania in May (during the 2009 WFF-WBBF Amateur Europe Championship).
They want to sign the official documents for the Pro Contest in Moscow.

French Bodybuilding Magazine "Le Monde du Muscle" prepares an article about the 2008 WBBF Amateur Europe Champion, 2008 WBBF “Universe” Champion ANTON JEZOV (Russia):
Dear Mister Daubaras,
Can you give me the victories (with the years) of the Russian athlete Anton Jezov?
French television made a report on him.
This athlete is a member an Russian special unit. (commando of the police force or Russian army?)

I am mailing you some photos of our athletes and a photo of
me and my wife Marlie. All my photos is on cd's and the cd's are at my offfice at the gym. I can mail you more photos of our athletes if you want to see more. Just let me know.
For the last 22 years I was very activiley involved in the sport of Bodybuilding and fitness. 1989 I have joined IFBB and was part of
the Eastern Gauteng committee for 16 years. I was the chairman for 11 years and a offical international judge since 2004. In 2005 I have joined WPF and was the chairman for the Eastern Gauteng province for 2 years. For the last 2 years I was the national head judge for WPF South Africa.
In 2006 I was the team manager for the South African team that have participate in the WPF Mr & Ms Universe in France. In 2007 I have hosted the WPF Universe here in South Africa, according to the WPF Europe president it was the best hosted univese for the last 16 years. In 2008 I was the chief marshall on the Mr & Ms Universe also in France.
I am also the biggest bodybuilding promoter her in South Africa. I have 3 national shows that i hoste every year with +/- 150 to 200 entries in each championship for the last 10 years.
I am very well known amongst the athletes as well as all the other bodybuilding federations here in South Africa. I am well respected by the athletes as well as committee members form the different federations.
I have done my homework on your federation and have decided that the WFF and WBBF is a far better federation to be part off. I am working for the sport of bodybuilding and fitness and the athletes deserive the best and I think WFF and WBBF is the best
for the athletes her in South Africa.
I am a personal trainer and own my own gym: Protea Health & Fitness Club. I have already trained 7 world champs. My wife is a high school teacher and I have 3 sons: Donovan (12), Lukas (10) and TJ (8). My wife is my right hand not only in the gym but also in the sport of bodybuilding and fitness.
I just want to explain to you have we choose a team to present South Africa on the Universe/World Championship.
Our country consist out of 9 provinces. 8th of our provinces are already part of WFF & WBBF. Each of the provinces host a provincial championship on which they select a team to represent them on our national championship.
At the national championship we select a team to represent South Africa on the universe/world championship.
I was already in contact with Brian and he is going to be the chairman for our Eastern Cape province and he will also be part of the national executive committee.
I have also set up a website for South Africa that will give our athletes more info about WFF and WBBF. The website will be up and going no later than friday the 16th Jan. The website address is going to be www.wff.co.za
Is it possible to mail me the email address of the international head judge. I just want to make sure that we have all the info on the judging cretiria.
