1990 I.F.B.B. „MISS OLYMPIA“, NEW YORK.
After 1990 I.F.B.B. World Championship in Malaysia in order to continue the dialogue with DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS the I.F.B.B. President BEN WEIDER invited him as his personal quest to 1990 I.F.B.B. professional „Miss Olympia“ in New York (USA). That was already the 11-th I.F.B.B. Pro „Miss Olympia“ competition. Many top Professional women bodybuilders left the sport as the new „huge muscle“ generation came on Professional stage. Big muscle road started with LENDA MURRAY. Again as it was at the 1989 I.F.B.B. World Championship in Paris (France) and as it was at the 1990 I.F.B.B. World Championship in Kuala Lampur (Malaysia) BEN WEIDER agreed that DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS for negotiations will take one more representative of the Lithuanian Republic. This time DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS took together the 1981 „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз», 1968 – 2024) and Category Winner of the 1988 „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Cup“ («Кубок С.С.С.Р. по культуризму») Champion SAULIUS MISEVICIUS. 1990 „Miss Olympia“ was held at the New York „Beacon Theatre“.
Several years lasting negotiations about Lithuania entering the I.F.B.B. separate from the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («Федерация культуризма С.С.С.Р.») were held in New York „Hemsley“ hotel. The I.F.B.B. President BEN WEIDER informed DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS about this decission to folow the rules of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ and not to alow Lithuania to enter the I.F.B.B. steping over the U.S.S.R.. BEN WEIDER was on the U.S.S.R. side and did not support the Independence of the Lithuanian Republic.
The places at the 1990 I.F.B.B. „Miss Olympia“ were as it is: first Lenda Murray (USA), second Bev Francis (Australia), third Anja Schreiner (Germany), fourth Laura Creavalle (USA), fifth Jackie Paisley (USA), sixth Sharon Arrildt (USA).

1990. VINCE MAC MAHON‘S W.B.F..
MONEY, MONEY, MONEY.
In 1990 there was a big crisis in the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders). I.F.B.B. had no „federation patriots“. Many famous I.F.B.B. professionals left the I.F.B.B.. Very active in the newly created W.B.F. (World Bodybuilding Federation“) were I.F.B.B. Pros TOM PLATZ, DANNY PADILLA, TONY PEARSON and LOU FERRIGNO. Famous Pro bodybuilders entered newly done federation W.B.F. which was created by American VINCE MAC MAHON. VINCE MAC MAHON made no secret – he wanted to make business of it. At the same time VINCE MAC MAHON was the owner of the World Wrestling Federation (W.W.F., now W.W.E.).
In order to collect best professional bodybuilders he declared an uncomparibably very big prize money for bodybuilders and a year contracts of 100 000 US dollars. „Joe Weider‘s Olympia“ could not compete with VINCE MAC MAHON‘s prize money. The biggest success was for GARY STRYDOM. He took 275 000 USA dollars twice then. He got real money. It was not like it is now – they declare big prize money at Pro contests and athletes receive nothing at all. It is a very good way to fool athlets. Do You know at least one Pro bodybuilder who became rich by winning prize money at contests? We mean real prize money, not of selling „supplements“, narcotics or selling even themselves...
TOM PLATZ and VINCE MAC MAHON attended the 1990 I.F.B.B. „Mr. Olympia“ contest and presented the new organization for bodybuilders. They said that they are forming the World Bodybuilding Federation as a direct competitor to the I.F.B.B. and proclaimed that they plan to "kick the I.F.B.B.'s ass". They declared that the 1991 W.B.F. Championship would be held at the “Trump Taj Mahal “Palace in Atlantic City.
W.B.F. organization signed long - term contracts with a number of I.F.B.B. regulars to join its roster, with annual salaries as high as $400,000.
The W.B.F. held its Inaugural Championship in 1991, as a pay – per - view (P.P.V.) event in Atlantic City.
The second W.B.F. Championship was held in Long Beach in1992.
Due to steroid scandal impacting the W.W.F., the W.B.F. introduced drug testing in 1992. 1990 I.F.B.B. “Mr. Olympia” performed drug testing too but in 1991 stopped it. They did not want to joke with it. Due to drug testing W.B.F. bodybuilders were out of shape and many left the W.B.F..
The 1992 W.B.F. Championship P.P.V. was a commercial failure. After this VINCE MAC MAHON phoned WEIDER brothers to inform them that the W.B.F. would be dissolved. WEIDER’s agreed to allow the W.B.F. members to rejoin the I.F.B.B. organization after paying 25 000 US dollars fine.
South African bodybuilder GARY STRYDOM would be the first and only W.B.F. champion, winning the 1991 event and successfully defending his title in 1992.

In 1990 U.S.S.R. bodybuilding was tightly connected with the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders). In 1990 I.F.B.B. federation was celebrating it‘s 20 years anyversary (I.F.B.B. was created by the F.I.H.C. (F.I.H.C., Federation Internationale Halterophile et Culturiste) General Secretary OSCAR STATE in 1970 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia). Most all sports athletes of Lithuania did not participe at the official U.S.S.R. Championships and the U.S.S.R. National Teams under request of the National Olympic Committee of the Lithuanian SSR (L.T.O.K., Lietuvos Tautinis Olimpinis Komitetas, Национальный Олимпийский комитет Литовской ССР). But not all bodybuilders followed this N.O.C. request. In 1990 U.S.S.R. bodybuilders participated at the I.F.B.B. World Championship in Kuala Lampur (Malaysia). As it was in 1989 during the I.F.B.B. World Championship in Paris (France) DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was invited to Malaysia as a personal quest of the I.F.B.B. President BEN WEIDER. As it was in 1989 during the I.F.B.B. World Championship in Paris (France) DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS could take any Lithuanian SSR represitative to accompany him. This time DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS took RAMUTIS KAIRAITIS with him as in 1989 Vice President «U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation» («Федерация культуризма С.С.С.Р.») ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS behaved rude in Paris. Representatives of the Lithuanian SSR went to Malaysia separate of the U.S.S.R. National Team.
One hundred bodybuilders participated at the 1990 I.F.B.B. World Championship. The contest was very pompastic. For organization of the contest was done huge work of the I.F.B.B. Vice President PAUL CHUA (Singapore). As USA sport specialist BOB GOLDMAN explained, the Malaysia Prime Minister MOHAMAD MAHATHIR gave 3.400 million USA dollars state money for the contest. Also he was present at the competition too.

WORLD BODYBUILDING ENCYCLOPEDIA.
Today the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International unites 140 Country – Members and organizes nearly 60 annual Amateur and Professional International Events World Wide. Looking from the juridical point of view the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International is no doubt the Real World Bodybuilding Leader.
Crowning it‘s 50 years of International Bodybuilding activities, the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. works on the Unique Global International Bodybuilding Project - the „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ («Энциклопедия всемирного культуризма», “Pasaulio kultūrizmo enciklopedija”).
There will be four books of the Encyclopedia. The first book will cover period of time from the old times to 1973. The work on the Encyclopedia goes on.
DIRTY BODYBUILDING IN ESTONIA.
INNAR MARDO (1946-2002; Inaras Mardo, Иннар Мардо) was the most important Estonia bodybuilding persons ever. Several days we were studying the thirty years lasting correspondence between the President of the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS (Др. Эдмундас Даубарас) and National President W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. Estonia INNAR MARDO. INNAR MARDO was and still is the unique historical Estonia bodybuilding leader and the real soul of bodybuilding in Estonia. Twenty years ago INNAR MARDO presented to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS historical documents on the Estonia International contest „Georg Tenno Memorial“ („Georgo Tenno Memorialas“, «Мемориал Георга Тенно», 1971 - 2024).
HAVING A WISH DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN DO IT.
Multiple letters of INNAR MARDO tell us about many unknown and forgotten facts and stories. We are surprised of the inner powewr of INNAR MARDO when his bodybuilders betrayed him and when many Estonian organizers treated him very badly. The reason is clear – they envyed him and his talent so much. We would like to underline that for several years best bodybuilders of the U.S.S.R. and Socialist countries were pupils of INNAR MARDO Estonians OLEV ANNUS and INDREK OTSUS. Both bodybuilders were winners of the most important International U.S.S.R. competitions – the „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз», is still running, 1968 - 2024) and the „Georg Tenno Memorial“ (organized in 1971-2024). Also under the guidance of INNAR MARDO both bodybuilders won several International competitions in various Socialist countries.
Think of this - who are those bodybuilders and organizers without INNAR MARDO? In some cases the enemies of INNAR MARDO were successful and INNAR MARDO had to leave the National Estonia bodybuilding federation. By the way, Lithuanians were not very happy of the strong Estonia bodybuilding and helped the enemies of INNAR MARDO in their dirty works. The Lithuanians were led by ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS and some official from Kaunas city. Especially big fight against IONNAR MARDO was after the tenth „Georg Tenno Memorial“ But after this no one Estonia bodybuilding organizer ever reached the highness of the work done by INNAR MARDO. The level and inside power was very low of them.
In the “World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia” year after year we will speak about the activities of those above mentioned “heroes”. It is a pity that at the end of his life INNAR MARDO had no enough power to reach the previous hights of the glory of Estonia bodybuilding. The glory that was created by him – INNAR MARDO.

N.P.C. – WHAT IS IT?
Working since 1968 W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Bodybuilding Federation) International today unites 140 Countries from all Continents. Since 2012 W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International world on the unique project – “World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia” («Всемирная энциклопедия культуризма»). W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. seeks to become associated member of the UN. W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. seeks Olympic recognition. We know the way.
One of the parts of the Encyclopedia will cover the history of bodybuilding in the USA. During the last several years the N.P.C. (“National Physique Committee”) started to be active in various Countries.
We will give answers to the following questions:
- How in 1983 appeared N.P.C.?
- Why N.P.C. left A.A.U. (“Amateur Athletic Union”) in 1983? A.A.U. was created in 1888 and was recognized by the USA Olympic Committee.
- What is the juridical status of N.P.C.? Is it a sport organization or private company?
- Why N.P.C. is not supported by the USA Government?
- Why no International Organizations support N.P.C.?
- What kind of “carnavals” are the N.P.C. “Sport Festivals?
You will be shocked when You will get the answers. Why bodybuilders of various Countries are cheated so easy and so easy trust unbelievable matters?
Long ago – when several times at “Olympia” contests was only one competitor – ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER – it was glory and prestige. Long ago at NATALIA MURNIKOVIENE times there were two categories at “Olympia” – one for men and one for women. It was glory and prestige then. Now several businessmen bough rights to make “Olympia festivals“ and carnavals. They call their “Olympia” events as “festivals”. The festivals have many categories and only few understand what is going on. After an hour of the festivals nobody remember names of the winners. Glory? Prestige? Sport institutions of any country do not recognize these festivals. It has nothing to do with sport. What happened with the brains of bodybuilders? What seek organizers of the festivals? Think a little and You will be ashamed…

EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS took together the 1981 „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз», 1968 – 2024) and Category Winner of the 1988 „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Cup“ («Кубок С.С.С.Р. по культуризму») Champion SAULIUS MISEVICIUS. 1990 „Miss Olympia“ was held at the New York „Beacon Theatre“.
The negotiations about Lithuania entering the I.F.B.B. separate from the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («Федерация культуризма С.С.С.Р.») were held in New York „Hemsley“ hotel. The I.F.B.B. President BEN WEIDER informed DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS about this decission to folow the rules of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ and not to alow Lithuania to enter the I.F.B.B. steping ove the U.S.S.R..
The places at the 1990 I.F.B.B. „Miss Olympia“ were as it is: first Lenda Murray (USA), second Bev Francis (Australia), third Anja Schreiner (Germany), fourth Laura Creavalle (USA), fifth Jackie Paisley (USA), sixth Sharon Arrildt (USA).
1990. W.B.F.. VINCE MAC MAHON.
In 1990 there was a big crisis in the I.F.B.B.. I.F.B.B. had no „federation patriots“. Nearly all I.F.B.B. professionals left I.F.B.B.. very active in the new W.B.F. (World Bodybuilding Federation“) were TOM PLATZ and LOU FERRIGNO. Also there were somehow DANNY PADILLA and TONY PEARSON. Famous Pro bodybuildewrs entered newly done federation W.B.F. which was created by American VINCE MAC MAHON. VINCE MAC MAHON made no secret – he wanted to make business of it. In order to collect best professional bodybuilders he declared an uncomparibably very big prize money for bodybuilders. „Joe Weider‘s Olympia“ could not compete with VINCE MAC MAHON‘s prize money. The biggest success was for GARY STRYDOM. He took 275 000 USA dollars then. He got real money. It was not like it is now – they declare big prize money at Pro contests and athletes receive nothing at all. It is a very good way to fool athlets. 1990. I.F.B.B. EUROPE CHAMPIONSHIP.
It was the first time in the history of the U.S.S.R. to hold European Bodybuilding Championship. It was done in 1990 in Leningrad (R.S.F.S.R.). There were two important happenings around the1990 „Amber Prix International“ (Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз», 1968 – 2024). The first one was since 1988 lasting negotiations of the Lithuania to enter the I.F.B.B. federation separately from the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («Федерация культуризма С.С.С.Р.»). Then the process was led by DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. The second one was big wish of the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ («Министерство спорта С.С.С.Р.») not to alow Lithuania to enter the I.F.B.B.. This was the reason that together with the 1990 „Amber Prix International“ the „U.S.S.R. Junior Bodybuilding Championship“ («Чемпионат С.С.С.Р. по культуризму среди молодёжи») was held in Klaipeda (Lithuanian Republic). At the contest participated 62 bodybuilders of the National Teams of the folowing countries: R.S.F.S.R., Ukraine SSR, belorussian SSR, Latvian SSR, Lithuanian SSR, Estonian SSR, Kazachstan SSR, Georgian SSR. The Category Winners were: Juniors - SLIVKO SERGEJ (Сливко Сергей, Ukraine SSR), JAKOVLEV PAVEL (Яковлев Павел, R.S.F.S.R.), SOLODKOV KIRIL (Солодков Кирилл, R.S.F.S.R.), KABANOVSKIJ DENIS (Кабановский Денис, R.S.F.S.R.), GAVRILOVIC SERGEJ (Гаврилович Сергей, Belorussian SSR). Over All Junior Champion was proclamed KIRIL SOLODKOV. 1990 U.S.S.R. ECONOMIC BLOCKADE TO LITHUANIA.
D.D.R. BODYBUILDERS WANT TO RUIN BLOCKADE.
Socialist Republic of Lithuania was a part of the U.S.S.R. for several decades. On March 11, 1990 Lithuanian Republic restored it‘s independance. In April, 1990 the U.S.S.R. started economic blockade to young Lithuanian Republic. The blockade lasted 75 days. Most goods could not reach the Country. Especially gasoline and oil products.
Communicating with representatives of various countries DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was explaining to them the political situation of Lithuania.
Aiming to stop the blockade bodybuilders of the D.D.R. (Deutsche Demokratische Republik, G.D.R., German Democratic Republic, Г.Д.Р., Германская Демократическая Республика) sent DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS a number of telegrammes and offered help for the Lithuanian Republic. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS connected with the Government of the republic Lithuania and spoke with the Prime Minister KAZIMIERA PRUNSKIENE. The Prime Minister said „lithuania needs no help. We will manage to solve the problem ourselves“.
1990. U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDERS VISITED USA.
In 1990 the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders visited USA. A number of theatric show competitions were organized for them. The event was paid by BILLY PAX. At the same days of the visit the 1990 I.F.B.B. „Miss Olympia“ was held in New York. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS met the representatives of the U.S.S.R. at one of Manhattan‘s hotels. 1990 SOCIALIST INTERNATIONAL CONTESTS.
There were comparitivelly many bodybuilding contests in the Socialist countries in 1990. As the end of the USSR and the Socualist system was closer most bodybuilders lived in their dreames and tried to reach the „Western“ competitions. They could do it only being among the National Team of the USSR. As they were not among the national teams that was the reason that most bodybuilders had to participate at the International Contests in the Socialist countries. In 1990 bodybuilders of Klaipeda bodybuilding federation participated at the competitions in Oradea (Romanian SSR), berlin („Berliner Bar“, GDR, German Democratic republic), Marjanke Lazne and Ruzomberok (Czechoslovakian SSR, „Sandow“, „Trener“, „Diana“).
1990. MAGAZINES OF DSC. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS SPREAD THROUGH THE WORLD.
Bodybuilding was popular sport then. Athletes needed methodical knowlidge. Since DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS started his bodybuilding way in 1969 he translated articles from books ang magazines. The books were a seldom happening as the „Iron Wal“ did not alow it. This way the first magazine „Arnold Schwarzenegger Recommends“ („Arnoldas Švarcenegeris rekomenduoja“ «Арнольд Шварценеггер рекомендует») was printed and spread in 2 000 000 issues. Several decades it was the „ABC“ for several generations. This kind of popularity has no other bodybuilding magazine in the World. After „Arnold Schwarzenegger Recommends“ other magazines were printed and successfully distrubuted: „Training Programmes of World‘s Best Bodybuilders“ («Системы упражнений лучших культуристов мира», „Geriausių pasaulio kultūristų pratimų sistemos“), „Bodybuilder“ («Культурист», „Kultūristas“), „Bodybuilding Stars Recommends“ („Kultūrizmo žvaigždės rekomenduoja“, «Звёзды культуризма рекомендуют») and other magazines. Totaly 37 magazines.
Best and short words abou the magazines of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS were said by a famous Russian bodybuilder VALERIJ LOKTIONOV: „then the only one source of bodybuilding materials were magazines from Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR) and I did my best to get them. That was really the GOLD TIME OF BODYBUILDING“. All bodybuilders used to copy the sport movement in Baltic countries.

(Federation Internationale Halterophile) organized it’s second bodybuilding “Mr. Universe” competition. Second place winner STEVE REEVES (USA) named the winner JONH GRIMEK as “the greatest bodybuilder who ever lived“.

35 YEARS WEIDER BROTHERS DEVELOPED I.F.B.B..
SANTONJA RUINED I.F.B.B. IN 3 YEARS.
Starting from 1971 World‘s Official Bodybuilding Sport was guided by the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders).
In 1998 the I.O.C. (International Olympic Committee) officially refused to support the I.F.B.B.. In 2006 I.F.B.B. owners WEIDER brothers already sold all their magazines, contests and after a number of intrigues the I.F.B.B. federation was led by Spanish RAFAEL SANTONJA. In three years in the I.F.B.B. federation appeared many doping scandals, illegal financial deals and a number of I.F.B.B. bodybuilders died. This information was presented in public by the I.F.B.B. lawer ALEX BAUER (Austria) and the I.F.B.B. Vice President PAUL CHUA (Singapore). Official bodybuilding sport was in a huge problem. Under the leadership of RAFAEL SANTONJA the I.F.B.B. in scandals split two times. Official sport is dead.

International (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) made a number of changes in the Contest Rules and Categories. “Men’s Jeans Model Fitness Category” has the same regulations and requirements as well known “Men’s Physique Category”. Only dress is different – it is jeans trousers. Competition is of two parts - “T-Walk” and comparisons with jeans. TOM PLATZ and VINCE MAC MAHON attended the 1990 I.F.B.B. „Mr. Olympia“ contest and presented the new organization for bodybuilders. They said that they are forming the World Bodybuilding Federation as a direct competitor to the I.F.B.B. and proclaimed that they plan to "kick the I.F.B.B.'s ass". They declared that the 1991 W.B.F. Championship would be held at the “Trump Taj Mahal “Palace in Atlantic City.
W.B.F. organization signed long - term contracts with a number of I.F.B.B. regulars to join its roster, with annual salaries as high as $400,000.
The W.B.F. held its Inaugural Championship in 1991, as a pay – per - view (P.P.V.) event in Atlantic City.
The second W.B.F. Championship was held in Long Beach in1992.
Due to steroid scandal impacting the W.W.F., the W.B.F. introduced drug testing in 1992. 1990 I.F.B.B. “Mr. Olympia” performed drug testing too but in 1991 stopped it. They did not want to joke with it. Due to drug testing W.B.F. bodybuilders were out of shape and many left the W.B.F..
The 1992 W.B.F. Championship P.P.V. was a commercial failure. After this VINCE MAC MAHON phoned WEIDER brothers to inform them that the W.B.F. would be dissolved. WEIDER’s agreed to allow the W.B.F. members to rejoin the I.F.B.B. organization after paying 25 000 US dollars fine.
South African bodybuilder GARY STRYDOM would be the first and only W.B.F. champion, winning the 1991 event and successfully defending his title in 1992.

1990. MAGAZINES OF DSC. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS SPREAD THROUGH THE WORLD.
Bodybuilding was popular sport then. Athletes needed methodical knowlidge. Since DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS started his bodybuilding way in 1969 he translated articles from books ang magazines. The books were a seldom happening as the „Iron Wal“ did not alow it. This way the first magazine „Arnold Schwarzenegger Recommends“ („Arnoldas Švarcenegeris rekomenduoja“ «Арнольд Шварценеггер рекомендует») was printed and spread in 2 000 000 issues. Several decades it was the „ABC“ for several generations. This kind of popularity has no other bodybuilding magazine in the World. After „Arnold Schwarzenegger Recommends“ other magazines were printed and successfully distrubuted: „Training Programmes of World‘s Best Bodybuilders“ («Системы упражнений лучших культуристов мира», „Geriausių pasaulio kultūristų pratimų sistemos“), „Bodybuilder“ («Культурист», „Kultūristas“), „Bodybuilding Stars Recommends“ („Kultūrizmo žvaigždės rekomenduoja“, «Звёзды культуризма рекомендуют») and other magazines. Totaly 37 magazines.
Best and short words abou the magazines of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS were said by a famous Russian bodybuilder VALERIJ LOKTIONOV: „then the only one source of bodybuilding materials were magazines from Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR) and I did my best to get them. That was really the GOLD TIME OF BODYBUILDING“. All bodybuilders used to copy the sport movement in Baltic countries.

1990 U.S.S.R. ECONOMIC BLOCKADE TO LITHUANIA.
D.D.R. BODYBUILDERS WANT TO RUIN BLOCKADE.
ECONOMIC BLOCKADE
Socialist Republic of Lithuania was a part of the U.S.S.R. for several decades. On March 11, 1990 Lithuanian Republic restored it‘s Independence. In April, 1990 the U.S.S.R. started economic blockade to young Lithuanian Republic. The blockade lasted 75 days. Most goods could not reach the Country. Especially gasoline and oil products.
THE BEGINNING.
Representing Lithuanian bodybuilding DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS during the „gorbaciov perestrojka“ was the only one among the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders who was skilled in several foreign languages. Meeting representatives of various countries DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS spoke with them about the political situation in the Lithuanian Republic. Among them were representatives of the German Democratic Republic (G.D.R., Г.Д.Р., Германская Демократическая Республика, D.D.R., Deutsche Demokratische Republik) too. That were the Germans: Jurgen Madaj, Otto Rudiger, Peter Bajerowicz, Joachim Hennig, Peter Butze.
EAST GERMAN BODYBUILDERS OFFERED THEIR HELP TO LITHUANIA.
A number of G.D.R. bodybuilders were great businessmen. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS told them about the economic blockade. The Geramns collected information and evaluated their possibilities. In May, 1990 they offered DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to address the Government of the Lithuanian Republic. Aiming to stop the blockade bodybuilders of the D.D.R. bodybuilders sent DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS a number of telegrammes and offered help for the Lithuanian Republic. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS connected with the Government of the Republic Lithuania and spoke with the Prime Minister KAZIMIERA PRUNSKIENE. The Prime Minister said „Lithuania needs no help. We will manage to solve the problem ourselves“. That was the end of the G.D.R. support to Lithuania. On Octeber 3, 1990 G.D.R. was ruined and joined the F.R.G. (Federal Republic of Germany)
VYTAUTAS LANDSBERGIS INTERESTED ABOUT HISTORY OF G.D.R. BODYBUILDERS.
Several years ago DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS spoke with the first Leader of the Lithuanian Republic the „Patriarch“ VYTAUTAS LANDSBERGIS. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS told him the story abot the G.D.R. bodybuilders during the economic blockade. VYTAUTAS LADSBERGIS was interested very much in the happening. He asked to give him the telegrammes which were sent to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. The archives of the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) are really huge. Working on the „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ («Энциклопедии всемирного культуризма», „Pasaulinė kultūrizmo enciklopedija“) only now we found the G.D.R. telegrammes. This way we are close to the year of 1991. We will tell more stories about the participation of Lithuania bodybuilders in the Independence process.

Today the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation)
International unites members of 140 Countries that represent all Continents.
After the 35-th World Championship W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. plans to organize the historic 58-th „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinio prizo“, «Янтарный приз», 1968 – 2024) on May 10, 2025. The Contest will be held together with the 36-th World Amateur and Professional Championship. Also the 2025 „Universe“ Contest is planned to organize in the newly built Culture Centre of Nida resort (Lithuania).
STRATEGIC AIMS.
When all federations (I.F.B.B. and N.P.C. included) do not care for real sport and play „festivals“ and fool athletes, the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International Executive Council plans official visit to the Headquarters of the United Nations in Switzerland in 2025. Seeking membership official visit to the Headquarters of the I.O.C. (International Olympic Committee) is planned at the same time too. In 2025 the W.F.F. (World Fitness Federation, W.F.F. - International) plans to go on discussing membersip of the federation in the International W.A.D.A. (World Anti-Doping Agency) activities.

Just after the 35-th W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) World Championship in Lithuanian Nida Resort bodybuilders of the Kingdom of Bahrain addressed the International W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. Headquarters. Bahrain athletes seek membership in the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F.. It is already the 141 Country Member of the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International. Bahrain team plan to participate at the 36-th World Championship which will be held on May 10, 2025 in Klaipeda, Lithuania.

2024. HISTORIC B.R.I.C.S. CHAMPIONSHIP.
INDIA HOSTS THE B.R.I.C.S. EVENT.
During the 2015 the International W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) Congress it was decided to organize the first B.R.I.C.S. Championship in 2016. The official India B.R.I.C.S. representative was present there. The B.R.I.C.S. is the acronym for an association of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. In 2024 B.R.I.C.S. will be enlarged with it’s members.
The third B.R.I.C.S. Championship was held together with the 29-th W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. World AM and Pro Championships in Lithuania (2018, City Kaunas, Lithuania).
The Over All Champions of the 2-d and the 3-d B.R.I.C.S. Championships were awarded by the Member of the Parliament Republic Lithuania GEDIMINAS VASILIAUSKAS.
In 2022 India hosted the B.R.I.C.S. event. That was held together with the 23-d (Mr. Universe” contest in Ludhiana (Punjab).
The 2025 B.R.I.C.S. Championship is planned to be held in India.

FALL OF BODYBUILDING.
Working since 1968 W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International unites today members from 141 Countries. Some time ago Bahrain joined the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. . Under the leadership of W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. President DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International seeks recognition of the U.N. (United Nations), I.O.C. (International Olympic Committee) and W.A.D.A. (World Anti Doping Agency).
We will not speak about other federations. Concerning real recognized sport their activities are of zero value. Zero... They have never been in real sport and they will never be there. What are the aims of these federations? Can anybody say? Why these federations egzist and what they want?
Since 1947 until 1969 due to the efforts of American BOB HOFFMAN (Robert Collins Hoffman, 1898 - 1985) through the F.I.H.C. (Fédération Internationale Haltérophile et Culturiste) federation bodybuilding was an officially recognized sport and it was very close to be Olympic. In 1970 F.I.H.C. General Secretary British OSCAR STATE created the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) sport federation in Belgrade (Yugoslavia). Until that I.F.B.B. was a private company. In 1971 again OSCAR STETE opened doors of G.A.I.S.F. (Global Association of International Sports Federations) to the I.F.B.B..
This way from F.I.H.C. the I.F.B.B. tok the ruling leadership of the International official sport of bodybuilding.
When in 1998 I.O.C. refused to support the I.F.B.B. and stopped it‘s support for bodybuilding sport and when WEIDER JOE and BEN brothers left bodybuilding and when in 2015 I.F.B.B. was split – then we saw in 1983 created JIM MANION‘s private N.P.C. (National Physique Committee) company on the International stage. Due to the efforts of RAFAEL SANTONJA and JIM MANION bodybuilding is no more sport today. Sport does not interest anybody of bodybuilding leaders – only money... In 2023 G.A.I.S.F. stopped it‘s activities and was closed. In 2023 W.A.D.A. stopped it‘s relations with the I.F.B.B..
COLUMBUS IS BACK.
Today the I.F.B.B. and N.P.C. make many festivals. Ones with „Olympia“ festivals and othres with „Arnold Classic“ festivals. These festivals have nothing connected with real port. We can say they are like “festivals of dancers and singers” but not sport. Fine – if bodybuilders like it. No International Official Sport Organizations see there any sport. No serious Institutions of any Country recognize them as sport. Long ago CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS came to America and used to change various worthless things to real gold with local Indians. Now the N.P.C. and I.F.B.B. festival organizers do the same. Bodybuilders are fooled. They forgot the sport and started being “singers” and “dancers”…
Analysing today‘s situation we can underline that the „Socilaist“ bodybuilding of the eighties of the last Century was very close to the International Sport Standards and it could lead bodybuilding even to Olympics. Bodybuilders thought, made decissions and saw real goals in the future. The movement was based on the theoretical and practical works of the leaders of famous „Vilnius Bodybuilding School“ («Вильнюсская школа культуризма», “Vilniaus kultūrizmo mokykla”) CESLAV TAMULEVIC (Чеслав Тамулевич) and VITALIJ ASOVSKIJ (Виталий Асовский). At that time contest halls were full of spectarors. Now nobody goes to watch bodybuilding competitons – they are boring and not interesting. Contemporary bodybuilders can only dream about normal relations with society. Comparing with that mentioned above time even today bodybuilding is at the very primityve level. Joining the „Western“ bodybuilding the „Socialist“ bodybuilding lost it‘s identity and was eaten by „West“ organizers.
We do not say that bodybuilders are stupid. Bodybuilders do not think and do not see the essence. Look around and start thinking!

1990. WORLD BODYBUILDING ENCYCLOPEDIA.
MAGAZINES OF DSC. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS SPREAD THROUGH THE WORLD.
Bodybuilding was popular sport then. Athletes needed methodical knowlidge. Since DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS started his bodybuilding way in 1969 he translated articles from books ang magazines. The books were a seldom happening as the „Iron Wal“ did not alow it. This way the first magazine „Arnold Schwarzenegger Recommends“ („Arnoldas Švarcenegeris rekomenduoja“ «Арнольд Шварценеггер рекомендует») was printed and spread in 2 000 000 issues. Several decades it was the „ABC“ for several generations. This kind of popularity has no other bodybuilding magazine in the World. After „Arnold Schwarzenegger Recommends“ other magazines were printed and successfully distrubuted: „Training Programmes of World‘s Best Bodybuilders“ («Системы упражнений лучших культуристов мира», „Geriausių pasaulio kultūristų pratimų sistemos“), „Bodybuilder“ («Культурист», „Kultūristas“), „Bodybuilding Stars Recommends“ („Kultūrizmo žvaigždės rekomenduoja“, «Звёзды культуризма рекомендуют») and other magazines. Totaly 37 magazines.
Best and short words abou the magazines of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS were said by a famous Russian bodybuilder VALERIJ LOKTIONOV: „then the only one source of bodybuilding materials were magazines from Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR) and I did my best to get them. That was really the GOLD TIME OF BODYBUILDING“. All bodybuilders used to copy the sport movement of Baltic countries.
