1982. SOCIALIST WORLD BODYBUILDING NEWS. Bodybuilding sport was still prohibited but bodybuilders of the Socialist countries felt comming „perestrojka“. The year of 1982 traditionally started in Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR) with „Amber Prix International‘ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарныйприз», 1968 – 2023). We would like to underline that since 1978 „Amber Prix International“ was the „unofficial U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championship“ («неофициальный чемпионат С.С.С.Р. по культуризму»). Best U.S.S.R. bodybuilders participated at thie event. It became possible after when in 1978 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS (Др. ЭдмундасДаубарас) wrote bodybuilding defending petition and personally brought it to the highest U.S.S.R. political Institutions in Moscow (read about this in various languages in details in our articles at the www.wff.lt). Bodybuilders of six countries took part at the 1982 „Amber Prix International“. The Over All Winners were RICARDAS PETRAUSKAS (Juniors) and EUGENE GORELIK (ЕвгенийГорелик, Main Categories). Both from the Lithuanian SSR. In 1982 bodybuilding organizers of the Estonian SSR still were fighting in between. Brothers ARRO left our sport, OLEV ANNUS emigrated to Finland. Though the Chairman of the National Bodybuilding Federation of the Estonian SSR was PRANAS MICKEVICIUS but bodybuilders supported INNAR MARDO (Иннар Мардо, 1946 – 2002). There were two teams of the Estonian SSR at the 1982 „Amber Prix International“. One was of PRANAS MICKEVICIUS and another of INNAR MARDO. Traditional 1982 „Georg Tenno Memorial“ («МемориалГеоргаТенно», 1971 – 1989) in Tallinn (Estonian SSR) was not the best. Only 31 bodybuilders participated at the competition. The Over All Winners were Lithuanians RAIMONDAS PETRAITIS (Juniors) and SAULIUS MISEVICIUS (Main Categories). 1982 „Comsomok Cup“ («Кубоккомсомола», „Komjaunimo taurė“) was organized in Kaunas (Lithuanian SSR). Junior Category Winners were Lithuanians RAIMONDAS PETRAITIS, SAULIUS MIKUCKIS, EDMUNDAS GUDAVICIUS, Main Category Winners were STANISLAV POLIAKOV (СтаниславПоляков, Latvian SSR) and Lithuanians ALGIRDAS IVANAUSKAS, SAULIUS MISEVICIUS, ALBERTAS BESAKIRSKAS. Two teams of the Estonian SSR went to 1982 „Trener“ contest in the Czechoslovakian SSR. One was led by PRANAS MICKEVICIUS and another by INNAR MARDO. First time bodybuilders of the Lithuanian SSR took part at this competition. The Category Winners were Lithuanians EUGENE GORELIK, VLADAS KAPCEVICIUS, SAULIUS MISEVICIUS and LUBOMIR MATEJICKA from the Czechoslovakian SSR. The Over All Winner was SAULIUS MISEVICIUS. In 1982 a representative of the U.S.S.R. first time visite I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) World Championship. It was held in Belgium. That was secretary of the „Unofficial U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“(«неофициальная «ФедерациякультуризмаС.С.С.Р.») ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS. For this he had to fool the U.S.S.R. officials. ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS managed to get into a cruise ship to Europe Countries. This way he reached Belgium and attended the World Championship. The time of cruise and championship was the same. As told by ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS the organizers met him warmly. But knowing no foreign languages he could make pictures with I.F.B.B. President BEN WEIDER nad ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER. Nothing more. But after meeting represntatives of Czechoslovakia SSR ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS communicated with then in Russian free. When competition ended ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS received zero attention and was left alone. Then at the 1982 I.F.B.B. World Championship winners were: USA bodybuilders JAMES GAUBERT, DALE RUPLINGER, LEE HANEY and Turkish AHMET ENUNLU. In 1989 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS clearly understood that ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS does not understand any foreign language. During active correspondance and a number of personal meetings with BEN WEIDER DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS bacame a real friend of him. In 1989 as a friend BEN WEIDER invited DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to Paris (France). The 1989 I.F.B.B. World Championships were held in Paris at that time. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS took ROMANAS KALINAUSTAS together. During a number of long lasting discussions DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and BEN WEIDER learned about the total unintelligence of ROMANAS KALUNAUSKAS in knowing languages. He totally was not understanding about what both friend were talking. It was extremelly dificult to go to Capitalist countries at the Socialist times. For an ordinary people it was impossible. During the eight and nineth decades of the last century of all Socialist countries only a bodybuilding trainer LUDEK NOSEK (Marianske Lazne, Czechoslovakian SSR) had a privilege to travel to Capitalist countries constantly. For many years he was the organizer of the „Sandow“ contest. Wife of LUDEK NOSEK was working as a stewardess on International flights of the airlines of the Czechoslovakian SSR. Her work permitted to go to any of the World countries with her husbund once a year. This way representing National Bodybuilding Federation of the Czechoslovakian SSR LUDEK NOSEK was present at many I.F.B.B. World Championships that were held in various Capitalist countries. 2023. WORLD BODYBUILDING HISTORY. HIGHEST INTERNATIONAL BODYBUILDING ADVISORY COUNCIL. 56 years working W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International is directly connected with the „Amber Prix International“ («Янтарный приз», „Gintarinia prizas“, 1968 - 2023) contest. „Amber Prix International“ is one of the World‘s oldest traditional historic competition still organized in the World. The value of the „Amber Prix International“ was alvays evident and always many known sport organizers of various Countries use to be present there. Through all history of the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. good relations of the International W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. President DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and the historic bodybuilding leaders of the all main traditional International Bodybuilding organizations were in the background. And that were the Owner and the President of International I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) BEN WEIDER, the President of N.A.B.B.A. (National Amateur Body Building Association) OSCAR HEIDENSTAM, the President of W.A.B.B.A. (World Amateur Body Building Association) International SERGE NUBRET. There were moments in the history of the World Bodybuilding when the International leaders connected DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS for friendly help and assistance. In 1970 at the I.F.B.B. Belgrade (Yugoslavia) International Congress SERGE NUBRET was appointed to the position of the I.F.B.B. Vice President. In 1976 SERGE NUBRET set another International organization of W.A.B.B.A. as he explains „to fight with the I.F.B.B.“. Then the conflict between BEN WEIDER and SERGE NUBRET reached the highest point in the Court. Then in 1985 SERGE NUBRET sent to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS twenty pages of the confident I.F.B.B. documents asking to support him. That was very personal information about BEN WEIDER and we never published this anywhere. The I.F.B.B. International and the I.F.B.B. U.S.S.R. (established in 1987) as well always were suffering of inside intriques and conflicts. First let us remember the famous weightlifting Olympic Champion JURIJ VLASOV (ЮрийВласов) and how badly he was treated when he was elected to the position of the President of the U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation. In 1991 President of the U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation VASILIJ CHAIKOVSKI (Василий Чайковский) was removed from his position by VLADIMIR DUBININ (Владимир Дубинин). Feeling frustrated of this unfair action VASILIJ CHAIKOVSKIJ imediatelly came to Lithuania. He was looking for support of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS in his relations with BEN WEIDER. Fifteen years ago understanding that International Bodybuilding Sport is in awful situation WEIDER brothers JOE and BEN sold their magazines and „Olympia“ Contest and got rid of the I.F.B.B.. After this WAYNE DE MILIA was dismissed from the position of the Director of the I.F.B.B. Professional League. Until that he run this position for many years. Then in 2006 WAYNE DE MILIA established his own organization „Pro Division Inc.“ and addressed DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to support him. From that time we have heard nothing about „Pro Division Inc.“. Fighting in between in 2009 and in 2015 I.F.B.B. split two times. First I.F.B.B. was divided between assistant of BEN WEIDER Spanish RAFAEL SANTONJA and the I.F.B.B. Vice President PAUL CHUA from Singapore. At that moment PAUL CHUA was supported only by fifty Asia and Arab Countries. At that time they had idea even to join the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International. Then PAUL CHUA and Sheikh of UAE AL SHAFAR came to London (U.K.) to fight with RAFAEL SANTONJA in the Court. PAUL CHUA addressed DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to support him, but DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS could not come to London as there was European Championship in Lithuania at that time. Also PAUL CHUA and Sheikh AL SHAFAR could not come to Lithuania as they had no E.U. visas. The deal was closed. Some time later PAUL CHUA and the I.F.B.B. Lower ALEX BAUER (Austria) sent 600 pages of I.F.B.B. juridical and financial documents and asked to publish them. We did it as they asked. In 1991 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and German KLAUS P.J. HOFFMANN started a new International W.F.F. federation. Both were basing on the since 1968 still lasting history of „Amber Prix International“ and basing on various sport organizations that were connected with it. In 2014 KLAUS P.J. HOFFMANN closed his part of the W.F.F. federation. At the same time part of the W.F.F. International led by DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS continued working. In 2005 it was transformed to W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International. Today W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. unites 140 countries that represent all Continents. Some years ago Australian GRAEME LANCEFIELD established his own W.F.F. federation. To feel important for the International sport GRAEME LANCEFIELD used the history of the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. as his own. Though he still does not know a single historical step of the real W.F.F.. The real W.F.F. International history started in 1968 in Lithuanian SSR. GRAEME LANCEFIELD started collecting N.A.B.B.A. athletes to his own contests using the N.A.B.B.A. name. N.A.B.B.A. leaders were angry about this. Then in 2018 the President of the N.A.B.B.A. U.S.A. and a famous I.F.B.B. professional bodybuilder EDDIE ROBINSON addressed DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to support N.A.B.B.A. in fighting against unfair behavior of GRAEME LANCEFIELD. After this GRAEME LANCEFIELD continued acting against N.A.B.B.A.. At the beginning of 2020 the President N.A.B.B.A. International and a famous U.K. Professional bodybuilder ED ELWOOD asked DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to support N.A.B.B.A. against GRAEME LANCEFIELD again. To help N.A.B.B.A. we wrote and published a thorough article about this. Different of other International Bodybuilding Organizations today W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. seeks huge aims to make bodybuilding recognized and respected. The bodybuilding sport was still prohibited but the prosecution was not so strong. It was important that in 1978 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS wrote petition to defend bodybuilding when during the prohibition of bodybuilding everybody was afraid to do something. DSc. After „Amber Prix International“ another U.S.S.R. bodybuilding contest was „Georg Tenno Memorial“ (МемориалГеоргатенно», 1971 - 1989) held in Tallinn (Estonian SSR). He tried to prohibit ROMNDAS BUCINSKAS to particiapte at the 1983 „Georg Tenno Memorial“. Then DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS trough his friend INNAR MARDO (1946 – 2002 m., Иннар Мардо) ruined his plans and this way ROLANDAS BUCUNSKAS was among „Georg Tenno Memorial“ participants“. By the way, INNAR MARDO until his death was the President of the National Federation W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. Estonia. All of the Winners were from the Lithuanian SSR except JURIJ POPOV and STANISLAV POLIAKOV. First time after bodybuilding prohibition a contest was organized by VASILIJ BESPALENKO (ВасилийБеспаленко) in Lvov (Ukraine SSR). The Over All Winners were ARVYDAS JARUMBAUSKAS (Lithuanian SSR) and the mentioned above STANISLAV POLIAKOV. Only Estonian SSR presented the U.S.S.R. at the 1983 traditional „Trener“ contest in Czechoslovakian SSR. It was led by PRANAS MICKEVICIUS. Bodybuilders of the Estonian SSR did not support PRANAS MICKEVICIUS as the Estonians still were fighting in between. Bodybuilders were on the side of INNAR MARDO who was overturned by OLEV ANNUS in 1979. Having no athletes this way PRANAS MICKEVICIUS went to Czechoslovakia with SAULIUS MISEVICIUS (Lithuanian SSR). Of all Socialist countries only bodybuilders of the Czechoslovakian SSR had possibilities to go to the „Western“ Capitalist countries and participate at the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) contests. Representatives of other Socialist countries could only dream of this. To go abroad everybody needed the official invitation accepted by the Ministries of Foreign affairs of their counttries. This was the „Amber Prix International“ and the „Georg Tenno Memorial“ had extremelly huge importance in the U.S.S.R.. Once the former Prime Minister of the Lithuanian Republic GEDIMINAS KIRKILAS said that Socialist bodybuilding was a kind of resistance to the Communist regime. By the way, GEDIMINAS KIRKILAS was the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 2004 W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) World Championship in Vilnius (Lithuanian Republic). We would like to remind that in 2011 the Official meeting of the President W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was held in Vatican. Vatican Congregat Prefect Cardinal J. Em. JAROSLAV KMIT proposed International W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) federation President, Rector of the International Sport University (I.S.U.) DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to the respectful title the “2023 U.N.E.S.C.O. Ambassador of Peace”. U.N.E.S.C.O. But there were definite reasons for this. We would remind that in 1973 bodybuilding in Socialist Countries was prohibited and everyone was afraid to do something positive for bodybuilding. It was extremelly important that in 1978 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS wrote petition to defend bodybuilding. DSc. This way step by step other U.S.S.R. countries and places started pointing to their local polititions towards Klaipeda competitions and this way organizing public contests too. The winners of 1984 „Amber Prix International“ were Lithuanians VIKTORAS JUCYS (Juniors) and VINCAS DUBICKAS (Main Categories). Next by the importance after the „Amber Prix International“ was „Georg Tenno Memorial“ («Мемориал Георга Тенно», Tallinn, Estonian SSR, 1971 – 1989). The Over All Winners of the 1984 „Georg Tenno Memorial“ were the Estonians BILYK VLADIMIR ((Владимир Билык), Juniors) and KOSENKO PAVEL (Павел Косенко), Main Categories). A few years in a row the „Comsomol Cup“ («Кубок комсомола», „Komjaunimo taurė“) was organized in Kaunas (Lithuanian SSR). Thirty bodybuilders from Latvian SSR, Estonian SSR, Lithuanian SSR, Ukrainian SSR and R.S.F.S.R. took part at the 1984 event. WORLD BODYBUILDING ENCYCLOPEDIA WORKS ON THOROUGH ARTICLE. HOFFMAN, LURIE, WEIDERS, HEIDENSTAM. A.A.U. – F.I.H.C. – W.B.B.G. – I.F.B.B. – N.A.B.B.A.. We write much about the Socialist bodybuilding which is still unknown to most of You. In the „West“ the situation in our sport was like this: After the WWII World Official Bodybuilding Sport was rulled by American BOB HOFFMAN (Robert Collins Hoffman, 1898 - 1985 m.) through I.O.C. (International Olympic Committee) member F.I.H.C. (Federation Internationale Halterophile et Culturiste). It lasted from 1947 until 1969 when F.I.H.C. refused to guide bodybuilding sport. In 1970 F.I.H.C. General Secretary British OSCAR STATE used JOE and BEN WEIDER brothers money and practical work and established the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) Sport Federation in Belgrade (Yugoslavia). Until this time I.F.B.B. was not a federation but a private company only. Since 1947 until 1969 no other bodybuilding sport organization could confront F.I.H.C. as behind it was I.O.C.. This was about bodybuilding sport. At the same time during the mentioned time in the USA and Canada real commercial war was between private companies of BOB HOFFMAN, WEIDER brothers and DAN LURIE. All of them issued bodybuilding magazines. At the same time hiding behind F.I.H.C. of BOB HOFFMAN N.A.B.B.A. (National Amateur Body Building Association) ruled bodybuilding in Europe. Most was done due to the effоrts of the N.A.B.B.A. President OSCAR HEIDENSTAM. In 1948 BOB HOFFMAN organized F.I.H.C. „Mr. Universe“ during the London Olympic Games in London. After creating N.A.B.B.A. in 1950 BOB HOFFMAN used to send famous USA bodybuilders to N.A.B.B.A. „Mr. Universe. At that time only few European bodybuilders could fight with USA Athletes on stage. BOB HOFFMAN popularized bodybuilding in Great Britain. Until 1971 all efforts of DAN LURIE (W.B.B.G., World Body Building Guild) and WEIDER brothers to fight with BOB HOFFMAN on bodybuilding sport basis had no chances. WHO IN U.S.S.R. COULD THINK ON INTERNATIONAL LEVEL? ROLE OF PERSONALITY IN LIFE AND SPORT. Everyone‘s personality depends on many items. One of them is – basing on which position a personality analizes all happenings. We mean bodybuilders, of course. Do you think of this as a sportsman, as a trainer or organizer or you think as an International Leader? Specialists of our sport scrutinize the same documents and the same basics but everybody of them evaluate the same items on a different way. Then we may look if this specialist is of a local level or he represents the International one. The specialist must get himself above the happenings of his time and he must look on everything like a flying bird high in the sky. Otherwise he can not understand waht is going on. In the U.S.S.R. there were only few personalities who could think wide in the very beginning of bodybuilding. The representatives of various regions of the U.S.S.R. mostly were thinking in a narrow way. For example, Tiumen gym trainer JEVGENIJ KOLTUN (ЕвгенийКолтун, R.S.F.S.R.) always represented a gym level and nothing more. The same was with a Kaliningrad trainer JURIJ SMOLIAKOV (ЮрийСмоляков, R.S.F.S.R.) and with a Severodvinsk trainer the U.S.S.R. Champion ALEKSANDR LEMECHOV (Александр Лемехов, R.S.F.S.R.). The same was with a Leningrad gym trainer VLADIMIR DUBININ (ВладимирДубинин, R.S.F.S.R.). A representative of Riga (Latvian SSR) FELIKS SAJKOVSKIJ (ФеликсСайковский) and nearly all representatives of the Lithuanian SSR were on the same local level of understanding. There were no more active bodybuilding organizers in the U.S.S.R. at that time but only those we mentioned only. The exception could be the General Secretary of the formal „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («ФедерациякультуризмаС.С.С.Р.») ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS (РоманасКалинаускас). How we can understand this „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ when bodybuilding in the U.S.S.R. is prohibited? It had totally no power. But unfortunatelly all activities of ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS were done through intrigues and blackmailing of his sport friends to the Communist political powers. Knowing no foreign languages ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS was separated from the World and could not understand the International process. Another exceptional person was INNAR MARDO (ИннарМардо, 1946 – 2002, Tallinn, Estonian SSR). He also did not know any foreign language and worked only in Estonia. Even to do anything on the U.S.S.R. level he had no interest. But on regular basis organized by INNAR MARDO „Georg Tenno Memorial“ («МемориалГеоргаТенно», 1971 – 1989, Tallinn, Estonian SSR) contests gave him a huge prestige and respect of others. One more exception was DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. During the period of bodybuilding prohibition he organized illegal „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарныйприз», 1968 – 2023, Klaipeda, Lithuanian SSR) contests in 1974, 1975, 1976 and in 1977. Wishing to defend bodybuilding sport DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS for several years was in correspondence with the Ministry of Sport of the U.S.S.R. („U.S.S.R. Goskomsport“,ГоскомспортС.С.С.Р.). Finally received from the U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport a negatyve answer DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS wrote a bodybuilding defending petition and personally brought it to Moscow. He presented the petition to the highest U.S.S.R. political powers: to the Central Committee of the U.S.S.R. Communist Party (Центральный Комитет Коммунистической партии С.С.С.Р.), to the U.S.S.R. Supreme Council (Верховный Совет С.С.С.Р.) and to the U.S.S.R. Ministry Council (Совет Министров С.С.С.Р.) and to the U.S.S.R. cental political newspapers „Pravda“ («Правда») and „Izvestija“ («Известия»). In 1978 due to the petition of DSc. (International Federation of Body Builders) BEN WEIDER, also the similar way of life was of the President N.A.B.B.A. (National Amateur Body Building Association) OSCAR HEIDENSTAM and W.A.B.B.A. (World Amateur Body Building Association) President SERGE NUBRET. The same similar way was of the General Secretary F.I.H.C. (Federation Internationale Halterophile et Culturiste) International OSCAR STATE. It is easy to speak when the work is done and everything goes smoothly. But at the moment to fight agaist bodybuilding prohibition no one supported DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. No one. Today being already old many former U.S.S.R. bodybuilding organizers and bodybuilders try to „be Facebook friends“ of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. Fine. But where they were at the hard times of risky fighting? During the fifty years of his bodybuilding activities there was a number of „deputies“ and assistants of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. Many wanted to take the place of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and to go on doing the same. No one succeeded. Many disliked the stormy activities of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. Especially when he succeeded in his work. And he did. Having no wish to get into the intrigues of such people DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS got into the Vilnius State University in 1979 again. This time DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS studied law after he received the speciality of the phylology before. And again he succeeded. The same happened with INNAR MARDO. After August, 2023 we can underline the fact that the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International Internet Site www.wff.lt is very popular among World bodybuilders. No one ever wrote such analytical articles about history of bodybuilding, about the contemporary situation. For example only today we counted 15 423 attendants who were reading our materials. WORLD BODYBUILDING HISTORY. TWO U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS. THE BEGINNING. First pioneers of bodybuilding in Russia were weightlifters MARK SHAFRAN (Марк Шафран), ROMAN MOROZ (Роман Мороз), the first in the Socialist Countries World Weightlifting Champion GRIGORIJ NOVAK (Григорий Новак), Estonian GEORG TENNO and GENADIJ BALDIN (Геннадий Балдин). 1966. FIRST SOCIALIST INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION. In 1966 a bodybuilding contest was organized in Moscow (Russia) where the winner was IGOR PETRUCHIN (Игорь Петрухин, Russia). Also in 1966 the first in the Socialist Countries International Bodybuilding competition was organized in Vilnius (Lithuania). The Winners were IGOR PETRUCHIN, RYTIS MACIJAUSKAS and KLEMENSAS ALSHAUSKAS (both Lithuania); second places won Russian GENADIJ BALDIN, Lithuanians CESLAV TAMULEVICH (ЧеславТамулевич) and ANATOLIJ PRIC (АнатолийПриц); third places went to Russian MARK SHAFRAN and Lithuanians RIMANTAS ZUJUS and ALGIMANTAS RAMANAUSKAS. TRADITIONAL BODYBUILDING CONTESTS. During the bodybuilding prohibition in the Socialist World (1973 – 1987) only few brave persons dared to organize competitions. There were only two regular International Bodybuilding Contests in all Socialist World: the „Amber Prix International“ (1968 – 2023, „Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарныйприз») organized in Lithuania by DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and „Georg Tenno Memorial“ (1971 – 1989, «МемориалГеоргаТэнно») organized in Estonia by INNAR MARDO (1946 – 2002). TWO OFFICIAL U.S.S.R. CHAMPIONSHIPS. Just before the prohibition and prosecution of bodybuilding in the Socialist World the 1971 and 1972 U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championships („Чемпионат С.С.С.Р.“) were held. We would like to remind that since 1947 until 1969 the World‘s Official Bodybuilding was ruled by the International Weightlifting Federation F.I.H.C.. F.I.H.C. was a member of the International Olympic Committee. All bodybuilding contests were of two parts: the power exercises and posing. In the Socialist Countries this tradition remained during all years of the prohibition of bodybuilding. Prosecuted by Governments and press bodybuilder were hiding themselves behind the power exercises. FIRST U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIP. The first U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championship was held in 1971 in Russia Severodvinsk City. The Over All Champion was a Russian Severodvinsk Athlete ALEKSANDR LEMECHOV (Александр Лемехов), representing Leningrad City VLADIMIR DUBININ (Владимир Дубинин) was at the second place and at the third place was Russian VLADIMIR CHOMULIOV (Владимир Хомулёв). SECOND U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIP. In 1972 the second U.S.S.R. bodybuilding Championship was held in Russia City Sverdlovsk. The representatives of six countries of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania participated at the event. In the short category the Winner was VLADIMIR LIPJAINEN (Владимир Липьянен), the second place went to BORIS ZITKOV (Борис Житков), the third place went to DMITRIJ CHANEV (Дмитрий Чанев), all from Russia. The middle category Winner was Lithuanian VALDAS ALIUBAVICHUS, at the second place was SERGEJ KIZIN (Сергей Кизин), at the third place was ALEKSANDR NIKIFOROV (Александр Никифоров), both from Russia. 1985. SOCIALIST BODYBUILDING NEWS. The prohibition of bodybuilding in the U.S.S.R. and Socialist countries lasted from 1973 until 1987. In 1987 in Kubenka (R.S.F.S.R.) was established the official „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («ФедерациякультуризмаС.С.С.Р.»). The prosecution of bodybuilding was so fierce in 1977. Then in 1978 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS (Др. ЭДМУНДАСДАУБАРАС) dared to write bodybuilding defending petition. He personally brought it to Moscow and presenetd to the Central Committee of the U.S.S.R. Communist Party (ЦентральныйКомитетКоммунистическойпартииС.С.С.Р.) as well as to other highest U.S.S.R. political institutuins. No one of Socialist bodybuilders supported DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS then. All were afrayed. After this the prosecution of bodybuilders became softer and softer every year. In 1985 bodybuilders in the U.S.S.R. felt more freedom. Everybody felt comming „Perestrojka of Gorbachov“ («ПрерстройкаГорбачёва»). Why for many years on the President of the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) BEN WEIDER, the Presidents of N.A.B.B.A. (National Amateur Body Building Association) OSCAR HEIDENSTAM and IVAN DUNBAR, the President of W.A.B.B.A. (World Amateur Body Building Association) SERGE NUBRET were in touch with „Klaipeda Bodybuilding Federagtion“ («Федерациякультуризмаг. Клайпеда») that was represented by DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS? The answer is – until 1987 „Klaipeda Bodybuilding federation“ was the only one official federation in the U.S.S.R.. All other bodybuilding units were not registered officially and worked more or less illegal. And DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was the only one among the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders who knew foreign languages. Through communication of the mentioned persons long lasting friendly relations were built. In 1985 traditionally the most important bodybuilding comopetition in the USSR was the „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарныйприз», 1968 – 2023). That was the „Unofficial U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championship“ («неофициальный Чемпионат С.С.С.Р. по культуризму»). At the 1985 „Amber Prix International“ participated 56 bodybuilders representing Lithuanian SSR, Latvian SSR, R.S.F.S.R., Belorussian SSR and Ukrainian SSR. The Category Winners at the 1985 „Amber Prix International“ were: juniors - OLEG ZUR (Олег Жур), VIKTORAS JUCYS, LINAS BEKESIUS (all from Lithuanian SSR) and among Main Categories - VINCAS DUBICKAS, VLADAS KAPCEVICIUS, ALGIRDAS IVANAUSKAS bei SAULIUS MISEVICIUS (again all from Lithuanian SSR). Over All Winners were: VIKTORAS JUCYS ir VINCAS DUBICKAS. The second by the importance U.S.S.R. contest was held in Tallinn (Estonian SSR) „Georg Tenno Memorial“ («МемориалГеоргаТенно», 1971 - 1989). 47 bodybuilders from Lithuanian SSR, Latvian SSR, Estonian SSR, Ukrainian SSR, R.S.F.S.R., Belorussian SSR. The Category Winners were: Juniors - ROMAN BEREZOVYJ (Roman Berezovyj, Роман Березовый, Ukrainian SSR) ir RAIN KIMBER (Rein Kimber, Estonian SSR), Main Categories – Estonians INDREK OTSUS (Indrek Otsus), PAVEL KOSENKO (Павел Колсенко), AIN PAAVO ir EDMUNDAS GUDAVICIUS (Lithuanian SSR). Over All Winners were: ROMAN BEREZOVYJ ir INDREK OTSUS. In 1985 it was the last time we saw INNAR MARDO (1946 – 2002) as International Contest organizer. After this he dissapeared until 1996. City of Kaunas (Lithuanian SSR) organized two contests: traditional „Comsomol Cup“ („Komjaunimo taurė“, «Кубок комсомола») and the „Over All Winners Cup“ („Absoliučių čempionų taurė“, «Кубок абсолютных чемпионов»). 24 bodybuilders from P.N.R. (Polska Narodna Respublika), D.D.R. (Deutsches Demokratishe Republik, German Democratic republic), CSSR (Czechoslovakian SSR), R.S.F.S.R., Ukrainian SSR and Lithuanian SSR. That was first time when after 1978 bodybuilders of Czechoslovakian SSR came to the U.S.S.R.. Then in 1978 Secretary of the formal „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ (формальная «ФедерациякультуризмаС.С.С.Р.») ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS due to his envy broke the common bodybuilding competitions in Lithuanian SSR and in Czechoslovakian SSR (read about it in our earlier articles). The Category Winners in 1985 were: PETER BUTZE (D.D.R.), ODRES ZEMBA (C.S.S.R.), VIKTORAS JUCYS (Lithuanian SSR) ir SERGEJ ZAICEV (Сергей Зайцев, R.S.F.S.R.). Another one Contest in Kaunas was organized first time - the „Over All Winners Cup“. 12 bodybuilders of Estonian SSR, Lithuanian SSR, Belorussian SSR and R.S.F.S.R. took part at the event. The first three places were taken by SAULIUS MISEVICIUS, VINCAS DUBICKAS ir ALGIRDAS IVANAUSKAS (all from Lithuanian SSR). In 1985 ARKADIJ KASANSKIJ (АркадийКашанский) went on organizing competitions in Charkov (Ukrainian SSR). This time 25 bodybuilders from Lithuanian SSR, R.S.F.S.R. and Ukrainian SSR took part at the competition. The Over All Winners were VIKTORAS JUCYS (Juniors) and VALERIJ LUTCAK (Валерий Лутцак, Main categories, Ukrainian SSR). First time competition was organized in Kronstadt (Кронштадт, R.S.F.S.R.). The Over All Winner was BORIS RAJEV (БорисРаев) from R.S.F.S.R.. Also in 1985 local contests were held in Latvian SSR, Belorussian SSR and Estonian SSR. In 1985 Czechoslovakian SSR held two traditional competitions ‚ „Sandow“ and „Trener“. The Category Winners of „Trener“ Contest were VINCAS DUBICKAS (Lithuanian SSR) and Czechoslovaks ANTON HOLIC, JAN CERNY, MILAN ROLINEC. Supported by the Sport Ministry of the Czechoslovakian SSR bodybuilders of this Country went on participating at the I.F.B.B. World and Europe Championships. They were the only ones from all Socialist World. Other Countries had strong Communist restrictions. In 1985 as well as in the previous 1984 European Champion‘s title went to MIROSLAV JASTERBSKI. SHORT HISTORY OF BODYBUILDING SEMINARS. 2023. SEMINAR FOR ACTIVE LITHUANIA BODYBUILDING SPECIALISTS. 1986. U.S.S.R. FIRST SEMINAR FOR BODYBUILDERS. Since 1978 until 1987 the „Amber Prix International („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарныйприз», 1968 – 2023) was the „Unofficial U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championship“ („Neoficialus T.S.R.S. kultūrizmo čempionatas“). During the 1986 competition representatives of the U.S.S.R. Sport Ministry (U.S.S.R. Goskomsport) organized the first in sport history seminar for the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders in Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR). 1987 PUBLIC BODYBUILDING SEMINAR FOR KLAIPEDA CITIZEN. In 1987 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS organized public bodybuilding seminar – discussion for Klaipeda Citizen. It was held at the Congress Hall of Klaipeda Sea Port Palace and it lasted for two days in a row. The hall was full of participants. The attendants were collected through the advertisment in the main Klaipeda City newspaper. 1994. FIRST LITHUANIAN REPUBLIC BODYBUILDING SEMINAR. In May, 1991 the first in the new sport history National Bodybuilding Association (L.N.K.A., Lietuvos nacionalinė kultūrizmo asociacija) was established by DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS in the Republic of Lithuania. It was suppoprted by the Ministry of Sport of the Lithuanian Republic (Kūno kultūros ir sporto departamentas prie LRV) and the National Olympic Commitee (Tautinis Olimpinis Komitetas). In 1994 the federation organized the first seminar for bodybuilding specialists. 1999 FIRST INTERNATIONAL BODYBUILDING SEMINAR. In 1999 W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International organized the first International Bodybuilding Seminar in Daugavpils (Latvian Republic). 2015. FIRST SEMINAR OF INTERNATIONAL SPORT UNIVERSITY. In 2015 the International Sport University (I.S.U.) was registered in the Lithuanian Republic. In 2015 the first International Seminar for sport specialists was organized in Klaipeda. Since 2017 the I.S.U. is an Associated Member of the U.N.E.S.C.O.. 2023. U.N.E.S.C.O. WOMEN FITNESS SHORT HISTORY. GREAT STARS OF WORLD FITNESS. Today everybody knows that OKSANA GRISINA (Оксана Гришина, Russian Federation) is the conteporary World Fitness Leader. Just now she won Pro „Olympia“ contest and it was done maybe ten times in a row. But anyhow World Fitness started 100 years ago in the USA. LITHUANIA EMIGRANT CONGUERS AMERICA. It was Emigrant of Lithuania BRONE DUBAR (Broné “Brownie” Dubar, Daubaraitė, 1906 – 1986) who came with her family to the USA in 1912. When her sport achievements went high she started public shows. Specialists use to call her „World Fitness Pioneer“ but in her times there was no any fitness sport at all. To say more – women sport was included to „Olympics“ only in 1920. This was the reason that 100 years ago gymnastic and acrobatic exercises of BRONE DUBAR were not named as „sport“. Aiming to make fitness propaganda BRONE DUBAR made her shows through all USA – from South to North and from West to East. FIRST OVER ALL WORLD FITNESS CHAMPION. Lithuanian EDITA SENDRIENE (Daubaraite, Dubar) was the ground ground ground daughter of BRONE DUBAR. From the childhood attending balely and gymnastic schools she visited a N.A.B.B.A. (National Amateur Body Building Association) Show in Malta. EDITA SENDRIENE liked performances of some „Miss Figure“ participants. Returned to Lithuania she decided to train and participate at sport competitions. Everything was ok. In 1996 the founders of the W.F.F. - International (World Fitness Federation) DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and German KLAUS P.J. HOFFMANN started World Fitness Championships in Kaizerslautern (Germany). This way in 1997 in Manheim (Germany) EDITA SENDRIENE became the Over All World Fitness Champion. „Eurosport“ Television amde several reports about this. The Sport Ministry of Lithuanian Republic wanted to present EDITA SENDRIENE a Governmental Award but envy and intrigues among sport federations ruined this idea. SECOND AND THIRD OVER ALL WORLD FITNESS CHAMPIONS. After the victory of EDITA SENDRIENE the next two talanted World „Fitness Stars“ became the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) Over All World Fitness Champions. That were MARIETA ZIGALOVA (Republic Slovakia) and ALEKSANDRA KOBIELAK (Republic Poland). For many years on both Athletes were representing their Countries at the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) World and Europe Fitness Championships. WORLD BODYBUILDING HISTORY. WHO AND HOW CREATED „U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDING FEDERATION“. We reached the year of 1986 working on the second book of the „World Body Building Encyclopedia“ („Pasaulio kultūrizmo enciklopedija“, «Энциклопедиявсемирногокультуризма»). We will publishe special report about who and how created the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («ФедерациякультуризмаС.С.С.Р.») in 1987. The new federation was recognized by the U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport (U.S.S.R. Goskomsport, МинистерствоспортаС.С.С.Р., ГоскомспортС.С.С.Р.). Until this everybody was satisfied with the „formal U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Fdederation“ (U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Comission, Всесоюзная комиссия атлетической гимнастики) which was set at the U.S.S.R. Weightlifting Federation (Федерация тяжёлой атлетики С.С.С.Р.). All was satisfied but not everybody. 1986. SOCIALIST BODYBUILDING NEWS. WHO AND HOW INFLUENCED CREATION OF „U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDING FEDERATION“. It comes more freedom in 1986. Bodybuilding is more popular. More and more people were somehow connected and involved in bodybuilding. The time comes closer when in 1987 the recognized by the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ (U.S.S.R. Goskomsport, Министерство спорта С.С.С.Р., Госкомспорт С.С.С.Р.) the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federattion“ («Федерация культуризма С.С.С.Р.») was created. The prohibition and prosecution of bodybuilding in Socialist Countries became formal. In 1978 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS (Др. ЭдмундасДаубарас) dared to write bodybuilding defending petition. He personally brought it to Moscow and presenetd to the Central Committee of the U.S.S.R. Communist Party (ЦентральныйКомитетКоммунистическойпартииС.С.С.Р.) as well as to other highest U.S.S.R. political institutions. No one of Socialist bodybuilders supported DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS then. All were afrayed to be prosecuted. After the petition the prosecution of bodybuilders became softer and softer every year. Until 1986 during the last years it was VLADIMIR SUBOV (ВладимирШубов) who represented the R.S.F.S.R. at the International Contests in the Lithuanian SSR and in the Estonian SSR. He was in constant contacts with the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“. To keep the contacts on VLADIMIR SUBOV rented a room at the Headquarters of the Ministry. WHO AND HOW INFLUENCED CREATION OF „U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDING FEDERATION“. How appeared the idea to create the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ which will be recognized by the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“? Why the contemporary President of the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS made huge efforts to return back to sport a former U.S.S.R. bodybuilding star VLADIMIR DUBININ (ВладимирДубинин)? Finally DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS brought him to the 1986 „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, «Янтарный приз», 1968 – 2023) in Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR). To the 1986 „Amber Prix International“ VLADIMIR DUBININ came as a representative of Leningrad (now St. Petersburg, Ленинград) City as the R.S.F.S.R. was already represented by the above mentioned VLADIMIR SUBOV. This way after twelve years beak VLADIMIR DUBININ was back to the active sport. In the seventies of the last Century VLADINIR DUBININ was a huge impressive bodybuilder. In contests he lost only to OLEV ANNUS (Estonian SSR) and PRANAS MURAUSKAS (Lithuanian SSR). He could fight with the athletes like ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER if he could leave the U.S.S.R. to a Contest in the „Western World“ then. But borders of the U.S.S.R. were closed by the „Iron Wall“. The fact is – until the 1986 meeting at the appartments of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS nobody in the U.S.S.R. had any idea about the new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“. Everybody was satisfied with the „formal U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ (Comission, «Visasąjunginės atletinės gimnastikos komisijos») which was since 1979 a part of the „U.S.S.R. Weightlifting Federation («ФедерациятяжёлойатлетикиС.С.С.Р.»). Why DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was so much unsatisfied with the above mentioned „formal U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“? This „formal federation“ started working in 1979 right after when in 1978 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS brought his bodybuilding defending petition to the Central Committee of the U.S.S.R. Communist Party. The „formal federation“ was run by the Chairman a R.S.F.S.R. Weightlifter ROMAN MOROZ (РоманМороз). The Secretary of it was ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS. ROMAN MOROZ was not interested in bodybuilding at all so the governing of the „formal federation“ was done by ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS. Also several loyal to ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS persons were included in the organization. In 1983 after graduating his second University by the speciality of Law DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS wanted more. According the U.S.S.R. law he aimed to bodybuilding recognition as sport. The example to follow was evident - it was the «National Bodybuilding Federation of the Czechoslovakian SSR». C.S.S.R. Government supported bodybuilders and since 1975 they had possibilities to participate at the International Competitions in the „Western Countries“. Since 1975 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS had personal relations with the Chairmen of the C.S.S.R. Bodybulding Federation. He used to visit the C.S.S.R. Ministry of Spiort (C.S.T.V., Československy Svaz Telesne Vychvy“) several times. Let us step aside a bit and speak about the International Law in sports. Even today nearly all International Bodybuilding Federations are in problems with law, with registration of federations. After analyzing the documents of most International Federations DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS can state that the N.A.B.B.A. (National Amateur Body Building Association), the W.A.B.B.A. (World Amateur Body Building Association), the German Part of the W.F.F. (W.F.F. – International, World Fitness Federation) were and still are in problems with the International law. This was the reason that in 1999 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS made official registration of the W.F.F. – International and in 2005 the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International. Do You want to know EVERYTHING“ about any federation? EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS together with the Chairman of the „C.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ VOJTECH FIALA was working on a common Project. The Project covered two International Contests between the National Bodybuilding Teams of the U.S.S.R. and the C.S.S.R.. One Contest was to be held in Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR) and another in the C.S.S.R.. When ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS learned that the idea and the work done by DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS he ruinerd the plans. Also basing on his ego he ruined and tried to ruin sport careers of famous bodybuilders ALBERTAS REMEIKA, JURIJ GUSEV (Юрий Гусев), ROLANDAS BUCINSKAS, SAULIUS MISEVICIUS, and in 1987 again SAULIUS MISEVICIUS and VIKTORAS JUCYS. ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS learned that OLEV ANNUS (Estonian SSR) wants to leave the U.S.S.R. and emigrante to Finland. For political reasons at the 1981 „Amber Prix International“ ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS forced the judges not to give Over All Winners title to OLEV ANNUS. This way the Winner was SAULIUS MISEVICIUS. After the 1986 „Amber prix International“ to develop idea of a new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS invited most important representatives of the R.S.F.S.R VLADIMIR SUBOV and VLADIMIR DUBININ to his appartments. Also an active Contest organizer ARKADIJ KASANSKIJ (Аркадий Кашанский, Ukrainian SSR) was invited too. VLADIMIR SUBOV took his Russian bodybuilder GEORGIJ MOSALIOV (Георгий Мосалёв) to the meeting as well. Only a close friend of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS the most important bodybuilding organizer from Tallinn (Estonian SSR) INNAR MARDO (Иннар Мардо, 1946 – 2002) was missing. In 1986 for several years he stopped his activities in sport. Building the new federation the main techical work had to be done by the officials of the R.S.F.S.R.. The idea of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was to use their connections in the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ and in the „U.S.S.R. Weightlifting Federation“. They lived in the R.S.F.S.R. and it was more easy for them to reach Moscow. They did it through the same mentioned above ROMAN MOROZ and through VASILIJ CAIKOVSKIJ (Василий Чайковский). VASILIJ CAIKOVSKIJ was working at the „Leningrad Institute of Sctientific Sport Resurches “ (Л.Н.И.И.Ф.К., Ленинградском научно исследовательском институте физической культуры). He appeared in bodybuilding in 1986. So DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS told about his idea of a new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ to VLADIMIR SUBOV and VLADIMIR DUBININ. This was some kind of shock to them but they agreed to start working. The 1986 „Amber Prix International“ ended with a banquet after which most influental U.S.S.R. bodybuilding persons gathered at DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS appartments. All of them discussed about the future of the U.S.S.R. bodybuilding, about the coming recognition of bodybuilding sport in the U.S.S.R. and about the nearest steps organizing new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“. They spoke about the bodybuilding situation in the World and in the Socialist Countries. The participants of the meeting decided about the next meeting. It had to be during the coming 1987 „White Nights“ («Белыеночи») Contest in Leningrad. The last steps towards the new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ had to be done there. Right after the meeting in Klaipeda the mentioned R.S.F.S.R. officials started their work. During 1986 and 1987 there were emotional discussions about the matter in the „U.S.S.R. In 1986 the creator and President of the W.A.B.B.A. (World Amateur Body Building Association) SERGE NUBRET sent a letter to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. Why to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS? The reason - since 1977 until 1987 „Klaipeda Bodybuilding Federation“ was the only one officially recognized bodybuilding federation in the U.S.S.R.. All other units had no status of a „federation“ and they were not recognized. The letter included huge correspondence of SERGE NUBRET and the President of the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) BEN WEIDER. SERGE NUBRET asked to publish the materials. But DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS did not do it until now as the materials included many extremelly personal intimate matters of BEN WEIDER. 1986. BUILDING NEW „U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDING FEDERATION“. After the 1986 „Amber Prix International“ in Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR) DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS collected in his appartments most influental bodybuilding persons of the R.S.F.S.R.. That were VLADIMIR SUBOV (Moscow) and VLADIMIR DUBININ (Leningrad). In 1986 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS after twelve years pause brought back to sport VLADIMIR DUBININ (Leningrad). EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS wanted a federation which is recognized by the „U.S.S.R. FIRST IN SPORT HISTORY OFFICIAL BODYBUILDING SEMINAR. Traditionally the „Amber Prix International“ was the most important U.S.S.R. bodybuilding Contest. Since 1978 until 1987 it was an „unofficial U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championahip“ («НеофициальныйчемпионатС.С.С.Р. покультуризму»). The „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ recognized this fact. In 1986 delegates of the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ came to visit the „Amber Prix International“ in Klaipeda. There were several representatives of the „U.S.S.R. Weightlifting Federation“ among them. During the competition they organized the first in the official sport history bodybuilding seminar. It was held in a cinema of Klaipeda. After the seminar all attendants were examened and after this they received the „U.S.S.R. Trainer‘s Certificates“ («УдостоверениетренераС.С.С.Р.»). 1986. INTERNATIONAL CONTESTS OF SOCIALIST WORLD. At the 1986 „Amber Prix International“ participated 87 bodybuilders from Lithuanian SSR, Latvian SSR, Estonian SSR, R.S.F.S.R., Belorussian SSR and Ukrainian SSR. The Category Winners were: Juniors – OLEG ZUR (Олег Жур, Lithuanian SSR), BORIS VELIKOIVANENKO (Борис Великоиваненко, R.S.F.S.R.), SERGEJ SAMOTIN (Сергей Самотин, both R.S.F.S.R.). Winners of the main categories were: RAIMUNDAS PETRAITIS (Lithuanian SSR), VALERIJ BOGDANOVIC, GEORGIJ JUDENKOV (Валерий Богданович, Георгий Юденков, both Belorussian SSR) and ROLANDAS BUCINSKAS (Lithuanian SSR). The Over All Winners were: OLEG ZUR and ROLANDAS BUCINSKAS. Next by the rank of the U.S.S.R. bodybuilding Competitons was the Estonian SSR „Georg Tenno Memorial“ («МемориалГеоргаЕенно», 1971 – 1989). In 1986 it was not organized as INNAR MARDO left bodybuilding activities. During the last several years ARKADIJ KASANSKIJ used to organize Competitions in Charkov City (Ukrainian SSR). In 1986 he held two Contests. At the first of them participated 98 bodybuilders from Ukrainian SSR, Lithuanian SSR, latvian SSR and R.S.F.S.R.. Over all Winners were OLEG SAVIC (Олег Савич, R.S.F.S.R., juniors) and ALEKSANDR VASIN (Александр Васин R.S.F.S.R., Main Categories). Another Contest was the second „Cup of Over All Winners“ («2-ой Кубок абсолютных чемпионов»). There were 9 participants from Lithuanian SSR, Estonian SSR, latvian SSR, R.S.F.S.R. and Ukrainian SSR. The Winners were: VINCAS DUBICKAS (First Place, Lithuanian SSR), PAVEL KOSENKO (ПавелКосенко, Second Place, Estonian SSR), ALGIRDAS IVANAUSKAS (Thgird Place, Lithuanian SSR). Lithuanian SSR City of Kaunas went on organizing anual „Comsomol Cup“ («Кубок комсомола», „Komjaunimo taurė“). 26 bodybuilders from Belorussian SSR, Lithuanian SSR, Ukrainian SSR, R.S.F.S.R. and D.D.R. (Deutche Demokratishe Republik) took part at the event. Kaunas Comsomol leadres helped U.S.S.R. bodybuilders to invite D.D.R. athletes. The Category Winners were: Lithuanians VINCAS DUBICKAS, PAVEL KOSENKO, ALGIRDAS IVANAUSKAS, OLEGAS MASLOVAS (Олег Маслов, R.T.F.S.R.). Also in 1986 several local Competitions were held in Leningrad and Liubercy (both R.S.F.S.R.), in the Belorussian SSR and in the Lithuanian SSR. GLOBAL TELEVISION C.N.N. PRESENTED W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. TO A BILLION PEOPLE WORLD WIDE. FOREIGN MINISTRY REPUBLIC LITHUANIA WORKS WITH W.F.F.-W.B.B.F.. Today the International Federation W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) unites 140 Country-Members from all Continents. Every year W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. holds over 60 International Events in various Countries. C.N.N. NEWS PRESENTED W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. TO A BILLION PEOPLE WORLD WIDE. Some time ago the Global C.N.N. (Cable News Network) television made a special report on the W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. events that were held in Klaipeda (E.U., Republic Lithuania) in May, 2017. That were the 50-th „Amber Prix International“ («Янтарныйприз», «Gintarinis Prizas“, 1968-2017) and the 18-th „Universe“ contests. Due to this a billion (milliard) people World Wide had a possibility to see the W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. International work. C.N.N. is one of the World‘s most important International News Television Companies. We do not remember that C.N.N. ever reported about bodybuilding sport before. Positively reported... We are proud that the report was about the W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. International Events, that had happened in Lithuania, European Union. Before this the W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. International also had a number of reports on other International Television Companies, such as „Eurosport“, „Sky News“ and many national televisions of various countries through the World. FOREIGN MINISTRY REPUBLIC LITHUANIA WORKS WITH W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. Receiving the information about the C.N.N. preparations to make a report from the W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. International events in Lithuania, the Lithuania Republic Foreign Ministry officials addressed the International President DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS and assisted him in the common work with the C.N.N. television. W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. ALWAYS WAS NON KOMMERCIAL SPORT ORGANIZATION. During the sixty years of it‘s activities the W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. always kept on the real sport side. Though there were various political and economical dificulties, the federation never stopped working on (read historical articles on the International Site www.wff.lt). W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. athletes always had possibilities to seek the highest titles at the International recognized official contests. Historic statistics prove the W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. is a prestigeous International Federation among all federations. One can organize several successfull competitions, but it is not the same as the fivety years of serious stable work. The power of the W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. – sixty years of constant International Sport work. Today the valuables of the mankind changed. For most people money means everything. No morality, only money and lies. The 3000 years lasting Bible Concept of Ruling Menkind is close to the end. Today most of International Sport Organizations are commercial. Even W.A.D.A. (World Anti Doping Agency) seeks profit and this is the reason that not every International Sport Organization can join W.A.D.A.. Such mentioned above organizations proclame commerce, not sport. It is a theater of absurd now and we were writing about this many times before. W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. will remain conservative and it will not follow other commercial sport organizations. W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. will remain on the real sport side and this is our priority. In difference to other organizations W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. collaborates with the recognized International Sport Institutions, National Governmental Structures and representatives of all religions. In 1986 on the occasion of the 27-th „Congress of the U.S.S.R. Communist Party“ a big festival was organized in Moscow. Bodybuildires of the R.S.F.S.R. and Lithuanian SSR took part at the event. In 1986 the creator and President of the W.A.B.B.A. (World Amateur Body Building Association) SERGE NUBRET sent a letter to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. Why to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS? The reason - since 1977 until 1987 „Klaipeda Bodybuilding Federation“ was the only one officially recognized bodybuilding federation in the U.S.S.R.. All other units had no status of a „federation“ and they were not recognized. The letter included huge correspondence of SERGE NUBRET and the President of the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) BEN WEIDER. SERGE NUBRET asked to publish the materials. But DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS did not do it until now as the materials included many extremelly personal intimate matters of BEN WEIDER. 1986. BUILDING NEW „U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDING FEDERATION“. After the 1986 „Amber Prix International“ in Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR) DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS collected in his appartments most influental bodybuilding persons of the R.S.F.S.R.. That were VLADIMIR SUBOV (Moscow) and VLADIMIR DUBININ (Leningrad). In 1986 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS after twelve years pause brought back to sport VLADIMIR DUBININ (Leningrad). Being unsatisfied with the work of the formal U.S.S.R. bodybuilding leaders DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS spoke to all personts about the necessity to build a new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS wanted a federation which is recognized by the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ and he wanted bodybuilding being recognized as the official sport too (detailed articles in various languages are on International Site www.wff.lt ). 1986. FIRST IN SPORT HISTORY OFFICIAL BODYBUILDING SEMINAR. Traditionally the „Amber Prix International“ was the most important U.S.S.R. bodybuilding Contest. Since 1978 until 1987 it was an „unofficial U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championahip“ («НеофициальныйчемпионатС.С.С.Р. покультуризму»). The „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ recognized this fact. In 1986 delegates of the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ came to visit the „Amber Prix International“ in Klaipeda. There were several representatives of the „U.S.S.R. Weightlifting Federation“ among them. During the competition they organized the first in the official sport history bodybuilding seminar. It was held in a cinema of Klaipeda. After the seminar all attendants were examened and after this they received the „U.S.S.R. Trainer‘s Certificates“ («УдостоверениетренераС.С.С.Р.»). 1986. INTERNATIONAL CONTESTS OF SOCIALIST WORLD. At the 1986 „Amber Prix International“ participated 87 bodybuilders from Lithuanian SSR, Latvian SSR, Estonian SSR, R.S.F.S.R., Belorussian SSR and Ukrainian SSR. The Category Winners were: Juniors – OLEG ZUR (Олег Жур, Lithuanian SSR), BORIS VELIKOIVANENKO (Борис Великоиваненко, R.S.F.S.R.), SERGEJ SAMOTIN (Сергей Самотин, both R.S.F.S.R.). Winners of the main categories were: RAIMUNDAS PETRAITIS (Lithuanian SSR), VALERIJ BOGDANOVIC, GEORGIJ JUDENKOV (Валерий Богданович, Георгий Юденков, both Belorussian SSR) and ROLANDAS BUCINSKAS (Lithuanian SSR). The Over All Winners were: OLEG ZUR and ROLANDAS BUCINSKAS. Next by the rank of the U.S.S.R. bodybuilding Competitons was the Estonian SSR „Georg Tenno Memorial“ («МемориалГеоргаЕенно», 1971 – 1989). In 1986 it was not organized as INNAR MARDO left bodybuilding activities. During the last several years ARKADIJ KASANSKIJ used to organize Competitions in Charkov City (Ukrainian SSR). In 1986 he held two Contests. At the first of them participated 98 bodybuilders from Ukrainian SSR, Lithuanian SSR, latvian SSR and R.S.F.S.R.. Over all Winners were OLEG SAVIC (Олег Савич, R.S.F.S.R., juniors) and ALEKSANDR VASIN (Александр Васин R.S.F.S.R., Main Categories). Another Contest was the second „Cup of Over All Winners“ («2-ой Кубок абсолютных чемпионов»). There were 9 participants from Lithuanian SSR, Estonian SSR, latvian SSR, R.S.F.S.R. and Ukrainian SSR. The Winners were: VINCAS DUBICKAS (First Place, Lithuanian SSR), PAVEL KOSENKO (ПавелКосенко, Second Place, Estonian SSR), ALGIRDAS IVANAUSKAS (Thgird Place, Lithuanian SSR). Lithuanian SSR City of Kaunas went on organizing anual „Comsomol Cup“ («Кубок комсомола», „Komjaunimo taurė“). 26 bodybuilders from Belorussian SSR, Lithuanian SSR, Ukrainian SSR, R.S.F.S.R. and D.D.R. (Deutche Demokratishe Republik) took part at the event. Kaunas Comsomol leadres helped U.S.S.R. bodybuilders to invite D.D.R. athletes. The Category Winners were: Lithuanians VINCAS DUBICKAS, PAVEL KOSENKO, ALGIRDAS IVANAUSKAS, OLEGAS MASLOVAS (Олег Маслов, R.T.F.S.R.). Also in 1986 several local Competitions were held in Leningrad and Liubercy (both R.S.F.S.R.), in the Belorussian SSR and in the Lithuanian SSR. Speaking about the other Socialist Countries we should mention „Trener“ contest in the Czechoslovakian SSR. The Category Winners were: Czechoslovaks PETR DUDAREC, JAN KUS, JAN CERNY and PETER MOLNAR (Hungarian SSR). Another competition was held in Neubranderburg (D.D.R.). Category Winners were: BERNARD SEIBE (D.D.R.) and Czechoslovaks LIBOR MINARIK, PAVOL JABLONICKY, JAN CERNY. The Over All Winner was LIBOR MINARIK. 1986. „AMBER PRIX INTERNATIONAL“. WORLD BODYBUILDING HISTORY. 1987 KUBENKA. NEW „U.S.S.R. BODYBUILDING FEDERATION“. Bodybuilding in the U.S.S.R. and Socialist Countries was prohibited since 1973. Finally in 1987 bodybuilding was officially recognized in the U.S.S.R. and a new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («Федерация культуризма С.С.С.Р.») was established as it was planned by several persons in 1986. Then those persons after 1986 „Amber Prix International“ (“Gintarinis prizas”, «Янтарный приз», 1968 – 2023) came together at the appartments of DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS in Klaipeda (Lithuanian SSR, full article on this meeting is on International Site www.wff.lt ). At that time the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ („Министерство спорта С.С.С.Р.», «Госкомспорт С.С.С.Р.“) was led by the Minister ALEKSANDR KOLESOV (Александр Колесов). Official recognition of bodybuilding needed several formal steps: the meeting of the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders to set a new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“, to set Chairmen and establish Committees. Before the 1987 meeting of the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders in Kubenka two important International Contests were held. That were the 1987 „Amber Prix International“ (Klaipeda) and the „White Nights“ («Белыеночи», Leningrad, R.S.F.S.R.) competitions. It was the last time in 1987 when the „Amber Prix International“ was run as the „Unofficial U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championship“ («неофициальный чемпионат С.С.С.Р. по культуризму»). It lasted since 1978 in Klaipeda. The official representative of the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ VALERIJ TAMARLAKOV (Валерий Тамарлаков) was present at the 1987 „Amber Prix International“. Also another Contest was run in Leningrad and it was the „White Nights“. On August 11, 1987 the meeting of the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders was set in Kubenka (R.S.F.S.R. Moscow region). Representatives of eleven Socialist Republics participated at the event. Instead of the old formal „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («Комиссия атлетической гимнастики С.С.С.Р.») representatives of Leningrad City VLADIMIR DUBININ (Владимир Дубинин) and VASILIJ CAIKOVSKIJ (Василий Чайковский) preposed to create a new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“. The old one did not preforme any noticable work so new changes were needeed. We would like to remind that in 1978 DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS wrote bodybuilding defending petition and presented it to the highest U.S.S.R. political institutions, including the „U.S.S.R. Central Committee of Communist Party“ («Центральный комитет коммунистической партии С.С.С.Р.»). This gave possibilities of prosecution of bodybuilding be not so strong. This way in 1979 the old and formal „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ was set at the „U.S.S.R. Weightlifting Federation“ («Федерация тяжёлой атлетики С.С.С.Р.»). It was led by a R.S.F.S.R. weightlifter Chairman ROMAN MOROZ (Роман Мороз). The Secretary of the old federation was ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS. In fact ROMAN MOROZ was fare away from bodybuilding and ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS did the work alone himself. There were no possibilities to do any normal work as bodybuilding it the U.S.S.R. was prohibited. The Chairmen of the new „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ were ellected at the 1987 meeting in Kubenka. The influence of weightlifting still was evident and the first President of the federation became a famous R.S.F.S.R. weighlifter Olympic Champion JURIJ VLASOV (Юрий Власов). Basing on his popularity JURIJ VLASOV did all formal paper work for the new federation. Two Vice Chairmen of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ were ellected: VASILIJ CAIKOVSKIJ and ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS. The Secretary of the federation was chosen the Official of the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ VALERIJ TAMNARLAKOV. Along with the meeting in Kubenka two seminars were held. First one was of ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS. He told bodybuilders about the „supplements“, their positive and negative sides. Also he told how he overused them and this way spoiled his health. Since that time he can not train anymore now. Another seminar was done by a contemporary poet and drama writter VITALIJ ASOVSKIJ (Виталий Асовский). He represented the famous „Vilnius Bodybuilding School“ («Вильнюсская школа культуризма»). The School was established in middle of sixties of the last Century by a talanted trainer CESLAV TAMULEVIC (Чеслав Тамулевич, 1945 – 2023, in 2019 awarded with the „International Honour Silver Medal“ by the International President of W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS). For two decades the representatives of the „Vilnius Bodybuilding School“ were among top U.S.S.R. bodybuilders. VITALIJ ASOVSKIJ replaced the Chairman when in 1980 due to illness CESLAV TAMULEVIC left bodybuilding. In Kubenka VITALIJ ASOVSKIJ told bodybuilders about posing, routines. He classified all poses of bodybuilders and presented the programmes on stage himself. At that time Soviet Bodybuilding was much higher in level if compared to today‘s primitiveness... 2024. Celebrating sixty years of the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International Activities and confronting the coming New Year of 2024 - Congratulating Words of the President W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International DSc. Edmundas Daubaras. I am proud of all our common work done. It is a pity that pandemia and wars made so many obstacles to do it better. Closing the year of the 2023 we want to thank all of You for the huge work that was done. We have been working much and achieved good positive results in 2023 again. Today the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International federation unites national organizations of 140 countries that represent all Continents. During the last sixty years of it‘s International activities, the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. presented the highest International Honour Sport Award – the International Honour Gold Medal. Among the World Sport V.I.P. Persons this Award was presented to the President Parliament Austria Professor Alfred Gerstl, Slovakia Prime Minister Vladimir Meciar, Slovakia Prime Minister Robert Fico, the Mecenats Stefan Hrcka (Slovakia) and Jerzy Gotowski (Poland), Aleksandr Gridin (Lithuania), and the Hollywood Sport Personalities Aleksandr Nevsky (Russia-USA), Sylvester Stallone (USA), Ralf Moller (Germany-USA) and Chuck Norris (USA). During the last period of time the new Country - members were included to the International federation, such as Macedonia. We would like to underline that in 120 years of the World Sport History it was the first time when representing our sport the International President W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. DSc. Edmundas Daubaras visited and worked at the Headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva (Switzerland). Basing on the U.N. our federation knows the way to get out of International bodybuilding crisis and to develop official sport in future. New International Title. In September, 2023 Rector of the oldest Ukraine Lvov Stavropigeon University Professor DSc. JAROSLAV KMIT proposed International W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. federation President, Rector of the International Sport University (I.S.U.) DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS to the respectful title of the “2023 U.N.E.S.C.O. Ambassador of Peace”. U.N.E.S.C.O. (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) organization presented this title to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. At the same time DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was awarded with the U.N.E.S.C.O. Medal and the Star. Imagine – we organized so many International Events World Wide! The Official Flag and the Official Himna of the W.F.F. - W.B.B.F. International federation were presented at the most important World‘s Events. Especially important to the World‘s official sport were the our sport live history the 56-th „Amber Prix International“ (1968 - 2023, «Янтарный приз», «Gintarinis prizas“), the 34 -th World Amateur and Professional Championships. On October 1, 2023 the 28-th W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International Europe Championship and traditional „Liepaja Classic“ were held in Liepaja, Republic of Latvia. A number of members of the U.N.E.S.C.O. organization took part at the events. That were the above mentioned „2023 U.N.E.S.C.O. Ambassador of Peace“ («Посол Мира Ю.Н.Е.С.К.О. 2023 года»), the Rector of International Sport University (I.S.U., ректор Международного университета спорта), the International W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. President DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS; Journalist, U.N.E.S.C.O. Award Holder, U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Pioneer VALERIJ KORESKOV (Lithuania); famous bodybuilder, U.N.E.S.C.O. Award Holder, Ukraine Bodybuilding Pioneer, Professor of four Universities VASILIJ BESPALENKO (Ukraine). No one other International Organization, that represents our sport, can not be proud of so long history of it’s International activities. No one of them has so many Country - Members. No one organizes so many official International events. No one of other organizations seek developing of our sport on official level, but the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F.. They even do not try to do this. To say more – today all International Federations have chosen the commercial way of their development and nearly all of them are private commercial profit companies today, not sport federations. Especially we were would like to underline tremendous work done by the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F.International V.I.P. International goes on working on the unbelievable huge unique work – the “World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia” (“Pasaulinė kultūrizmo enciklopedija”, «Энциклопедия всемирного культуризма»). It will be published in various languages. Until now nobody in the World ever dared to do such a tremendous project. We are sure – this way many facts of our one hundred years lasting history, many names of the International organizers and sportsmen will be not forgotten. In 2016 under the initiative of the W.F.F.-W.B.B.F. International the International Sport University (I.S.U., Tarptautinis sporto universitetas, Международный университет спорта) was established and registered in the European Union. Under the guidance of talanted administrators and scientists now it works succcessfully. In 2017 the I.S.U. became the Associated member of the U.N.E.S.C.O. organization at the U.N.. Professor of four Universities VASILIJ BESPALENKO and Professor LALIT KUMAR SONI work activelly at the International Sports University. We would like to remember that in 2012 in Vatican through His personal letter the Roman Pope Benedictus XVI (Benedetto XVI)blessed the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International activities. As we have mentioned above we do not mean “festivals” and various “expo”. We mean only official sport. Representing World‘s Fitness and Bodybuilding Sport the W.F.F. - International and the W.B.B.F. - International are the only ones World Wide Officially Registered International Non Profit Sport Organizations that work well for official sport for so long time. New ideas and tremendous work done for the International Sport make the W.F.F. and W.B.B.F. to be the today’s International Leaders in Bodybuilding and Fitness World Wide. We mean the Official Level. 2024. NO OTHER INTERNATIONAL BODYBUILDING FEDERATION HAS IT‘S OWN MAGAZINE, BUT W.F.F. – W.B.B.F.. WORLD BODYBUILDING HISTORY. Today the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) International unites 140 Country – Members and organizes every year nearly 60 anual Am and Pro International Events World Wide. Looking from the juridic point of view the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International is no doubt the Real World Bodybuilding Leader. W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International started issuing the International Magazines in various languages in 1989. The W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. Magazines are spread free of charge during the most important International Sport Events World Wide and also in all Country-Members of the Federation. The Magazines can be found in many basic State Libraries. Once the German Leizig State Library addressed the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International asking the Federation Magazines for the readers. ARNOLD SCWARZENEGGER RECOMMENDS The first W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International Magazine (1989) was the famous methodical issue „Arnold Scwarzenegger Recommends“ („Арнольд Шварценеггер рекомендует»). At that time many East Europe Bodybuilders were short of the methodical knowlidge and that was the reason of the 2 000 000 sucessfull issues of the magazine. The „Arnold Scwarzenegger Recommends“ bacame the real „Cathekizmus“ for most bodybuilders of that time. It was spread in the countries of former U.S.S.R. and East Europe. Several generations of today‘s bodybuilders grew up under these magazines. WORLD BODYBUILDING ENCYCLOPEDIA Crowning it‘s sixty years of International Bodybuilding activities, the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. works on the Unique Global International Bodybuilding Project - the „World Bodybuilding Encyclopedia“ («Энциклопедиявсемирногокультуризма»). Until now nobody even tried to work on such a huge International Project. To be frank, only few people can do it. There were attempts to name some previous works as „Encyclopedia“ too, but that were not Encyclopedias of Bodybuilding Sport in real (for example, as Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s „Encyclopedia“ was written about himself in person mostly). In real every Encyclopedia covers much wider things. WORLD BODYBUILDING HISTORY. SOCIALIST COUNTRIES BODYBUILDING LITERATURE. Before the prohibition of bodybuilding in the middle of the sixties of the last century in all Socialist World Countries the only one regular magazine about bodybuilding sport was Polish „Sport Dla Wszystkich“. At that time Lithuanians presented the basics of bodybuilding in the magazine „The Student“(„Moksleivis“). Through the time of the prohibition of bodybuilding sport in the Socialist Countries nobody even dreamed about the bodybuilding literature. The exception was in Czechoslovakia Bratislava issued „Trener“ Magazine and the German D.D.R. (Deutsches Demokratik Republik) Weight Lifting Magazine „The Weightlifter‘s Training“ ( „Schwer Atlet Training“) which started to publish some information about our sport. During this time DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS used to give articles and contest information for these Magazines. Also for BEN WEIDER‘S „Flex“ magazine. All magazines used to publishe the DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS given materials. First of all it was information from the World‘s Oldest Traditional Bodybuilding Contest, the only one anual International Bodybuilding Event in all Socialist Counties, the „Amber Prix International“ („Gintarinis prizas“, „Янтарныйприз», 1968-2023). The above mentioned Czechoslovakia „Trener“ Magazines were published by JOZEF MAZAK and later by MILAN PERDOCH. International W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. worked and still works on the documents and various materials of World‘s Bodybuilding History. The W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. „Sport of Fitness and Bodybuilding“ Magazine started in English, Russian and Lithuanian languages in 1989. During this period of time the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. printed and spread through the World several millions copies of the Magazine. „Sport of Fitness and Bodybuilding“ is awailable at the National W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. federations in all 140 Country - members of the W.F.F. - W.B.B.F. International as well as at the most important World‘s International Bodybuilding and Fitness Events.
Main articles of the „Sport of Fitness and Bodybuilding“ Magazine were published in various Internet Pages, sport and public media, among them regularly in Spanish „Fitness Alive“ (Argentina, Magazine for South America and Spain), in German „Fitness News“ (Austria, Magazine for Germany, Austria and Switzerland), in English „Strenght and Health“ (UK, Magazine for England, Scotland and Ireland), in Russian „Zeleznyj Mir“ (Russia, for Russia and Post Soviet Russian Speaking Countries and etc..).
At the beginning a number of the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. Magazines were of methodical character. These Magazines were teaching the bodybuilders how to train from the primityve beginning to the Top Professional Level. Through decades the President W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS collected and translated materials and documents from different possible sources, analised, evaluated and systemized them and finally presented as methodical recommendations for the sportsmen. That were a number of popular International Seria Magazines under the titles like “ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER recommends”, “Training Programs of the World’s Best Bodybuilders”, “Bodybuilding Stars Recommend” etc..). Ending the 90-ties of the last century basing on these Magazines a number of new generations of bodybuilders were born and educated. Wishing to have these Magazines in their collections the libraries of a number of Countries addressed the International W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. Headquarters (like German State Library of Leipzig, Germany).
Today the W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. „Sport of Fitness and Bodybuilding“ („Sportinis fitnesas ir kultūrizmas“, „Спортивныйфитнесикультуризм») magazine has only informative International character but this makes it to be even more important. The Magazine covers most important World‘s Bodybuilding and Fitness Events and it gives true situation of sport on Official International Level, sets the goals of the sport for the future. 1990 U.S.S.R. ECONOMIC BLOCKADE TO LITHUANIA. D.D.R. BODYBUILDERS WANT TO RUIN THE BLOCKADE. Socialist Republic of Lithuania was a part of the U.S.S.R. for several decades. On March 11, 1990 Lithuanian Republic restored it‘s independance. In April, 1990 the U.S.S.R. started economic blockade to young Lithuanian Republic. Most goods could not reach the Country. Especially gasoline and oil products. Aiming to stop the blockade bodybuilders of the DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik, G.D.R., German Democratic Republic) offered help for the Lithuanian Republic. GRAND INTERNETIONAL CONTEST IN LITHUANIA. PRESENT OF BODYBUILDERS TO INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT. Preparing to celebrate it‘s forty years activities fifteen years ago W.F.F. – W.B.B.F. International (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) organized World Amateur and Professional Championship in Vilnius Congress palace (Lithuania). Seven hundred and forty two athletes participated at this competition. Until now it is the World record in bodybuilding sports. The contest was „live“ for all the World in Internet. The Internet Work was sponsored with 41 000 Euro by the „Lithuania Telecom“ (AB „Lietuvos telekomas“). The event was supported by the Government Republic Lithuania. Minister of Sport Republic Lithuania DSc. ALGIRDAS RASLANAS took part at the opening ceremony. A number of the members of the Parliament and Government Republic Lithuania were among the spectators, among them were JULIUS DAUTARTAS, ANTANAS BOSAS, KĘSTUTIS VIRKETIS. The Honour Diplomas for the V.I.P. Guests were signed by the Minister of Finance Republic Lithuania and future Prime Minister ALGIRDAS BUTKEVICHUS. The International Corporation „Fabrikant“ presented to the Over All Champions ALEKSANDR BALDIN (Russia), RACHEL KAUPPILA (Finland), JOLANTA MILERIUTE (Lithuania) original Diamonds. Right after the contest the International Press Conference was held at the Lithuania news Agency „Elta“. WORLD BODYBUILDING ENCYCLOPEDIA. 1988 SOCIALIST BODYBUILDING NEWS. Bodybuilding in Socialist countries faced new horisons when in 1987 was created the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ («Федерация культуизма С.С.С.Р.»). The prohibition and the prosecution of bodybuilding ended. Socialist Republics started organizing many bodybuilding competitions. U.S.S.R. bodybuilders were invited to contests of various countries. No doubt – in 1988 the most important bodybuilding contest was the first official „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Cup“ («Кубок С.С.С.Р. по культуризму»). It was recognized and supported by the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“ («Министерство спорта С.С.С.Р.»). 69 bodybuilders representing 13 Socialist Republics took part at the event. The competition was held in the still today prestigeous Leningrad Palace „Oktiabrskij“ (дворец „Октябрьский», Ленинград). The Category Winners were: STANISLAV POLIAKOV (Станислав Поляков, Riga, Latvian SSR, trainer FELIKS SAJKOVSKJ, Феликс Сайковский); VALERIJ BOGDANOVIC (Валерий Богданович, Minsk, Belorussian SSR, no trainer); SAULIUS MISEVICIUS (Kaunas, Lithuanian SSR, no trainer); VIKTORAS JUCYS (Klaipeda, Lithuanian SSR, trainer DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS). The title of the Over All Winner went to VIKTORAS JUCYS. Since that time he holds the title „Mister Absoliutus S.S.S.R.“ («Мистер Абсолютус С.С.С.Р.»). His trainer DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS was awarded with the Special Diploma of the „U.S.S.R. Ministry of Sport“. All Category Winners received the degrees of the “U.S.S.R. Sport Master” («Мастер спорта С.С.С.Р.»). The I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) President BEN WEIDER was present at the contest. He spoke very positivelly about VIKTORAS JUCYS then. BEN WEIDER invited all Category Winners to the 1988 I.F.B.B. World Championships in Australia. The special conference was organized fro BEN WEIDER to communicate with the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders. On the topof the stage sat BEN WEIDER and DSc. EEDMUNDAS DAUBARAS, as he was the only one among the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders and officials to know foreign languages. Bodybuilders asked questions and DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS translated them. Finally when questions ended the conference looked as a dialoque only of BEN WEIDER and DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS. Some words on the topic. During the last years appeared „new International federations“ which cheat bodybuilders and lie to them. These „federations“ have no value to the official sport of bodybuilding. They are not recognized by any International Organization. In all the World only Governments of former Socialist and Asia Countries use to support and finance National Federations of I.F.B.B.. Earlier this was because of the I.F.B.B. membership in the G.A.I.S.F. (“General Association of International Sports Federations”). Now it is because of I.F.B.B. being a W.A.D.A.(“World Anti – Doping Agency”) member. Due to the efforts of American BOB HOFFMAN since 1947 until 1969 World‘s bodybuilding was rulled by F.I.H.C. (F.I.H., Federation Internationale Halterophile). Then bodybuilding was an officially recognized and respected sport as the F.I.H.C. was a member of the I.O.C. (International Olympic Committee). BOB HOFFMAN seeked bodybuilding to be an Olympic sport. In 1970 F.I.H.C. Secretary OSCAR STATE and WEIDER brothers BEN and JOE created the I.F.B.B. federation in Belgrade (Yugoslavia). In 1971 I.F.B.B. became a member of the G.A.I.S.F.. When I.O.C. refused to support the I.F.B.B. in 1998, WEIDER brothers sold the I.F.B.B. federation and magazines. Contemporary I.F.B.B. President RAFAEL SANTONJA ruined I.F.B.B. officiality after this I.F.B.B. two times was split. In 2022 W.A.D.A. refused to work with I.F.B.B. any longer. This is I.F.B.B.. If we speak about other “federations” we can see only humor and nothing more… In 1988 the first „U.S.S.R. Junior Bodybuilding Championship“(«ЧемпионатС.С.С.Р. средиюниоров») was organized in Charkov (Ukrainian SSR). Bodybuilders of 8 Socialist Republics took part at the event. At the same time the Committee of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ had a meeting in Charkov too. U.S.S.R. bodybuilders got rid of the decades lasting influence of the U.S.S.R. weightlifters. The President of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ Olympic Champion JURIJ VLASOV (Юрий Власов) informed that he was leaving the federation. At the same time Secretary of the federation VALERIJ TAMARLAKOV (Валерий Тамарлаков) was thrown out as nobody of bodybuilders trusted him. The new President of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ became VASILIJ CAIKOVSKIJ (Василий Чайковский). Confrontation between JURIJ VLASOV and Leningrad bodybuilding officials started in 1987. As the long lasting Chairman of the National Bodybuilding Federation of the Estonian SSR INNAR MARDO Иннар Мардо, 1946 – 2002 m.) wrote to DSc. EDMUNDAS DAUBARAS – JURIJ VLASOV wanted to organize a great International bodybuilding contest in Moscow in 1987. The venue, the medals and posters were printed, bodybuilders were invited and the U.S.S.R. Central Television agreed to meke a report of the competition. But Leningrad officials VLADIMIR DUBININ and VASILIJ CAIKOVSKIJ were against the contest in Moscow. Supported by the Deputy Chairman of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS they organized the 1987 „White Nights“ («Белые ночи») in Leningrad. This smashed the plans of JURIJ VLASOV. He was deeply offended. In 1988 an International Contest of women bodybuilders was organized. The Category Winners were representatives of the Lithuanian SSR: NATALIJA DUCHOVIC (Murnikoviene, Наталия Духович), AUSRA SALOMSKAITE, INGA MISEVIČIENE. In 1988 the I.F.B.B. World Championship was held in Australia. The U.S.S.R. bodybuilders participated at such level the first time. In Australia the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ became a member of the I.F.B.B.. All Winners of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Cup“ were included to the team. Among them two representatives of the Lithuanian SSR – VIKTORAS JUCYS and SAULIUS MISEVICIUS. They trained in Moscow. Thgether with bodybuilders the delegation of the U.S.S.R. officials went to Australia too. The Deputy Chairman of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS learned that he was not included to the delegation to Australia. ROMANAS KALINAUSKAS was responsible for passports and visas for the bodybuilders of the Lithuanian SSR. Being angry he kept the passports with him and bodybuilders could not fly to Australia. They were left in Moscow... Having no Lithuanians on board the U.S.S.R. team was of STANISLAV POLIAKOV, VALERIJ BOGDANOVIC, ALEKSANDR VASIN (Александр Васин). The U.S.S.R. bodybuilders did not place high at the World Championshgip then. The old tradition of the „Amber Prix International“ («Янтарный приз», „Gintarinis prizas“, 1968 – 2023) did not stop. Chairmen of the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Federation“ spoke that there is no more need of the „Amber Prix International“ as the U.S.S.R. was participating at the I.F.B.B. World and Europe Championships and it had the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championship“ as well. At the 1988 „Amber Prix International“ participated 112 bodybuilders that represented 9 Socialist Republics. By gradation „Amber Prix International“ was at the second place after the „U.S.S.R. Bodybuilding Championship“ in the U.S.S.R.. Comsomol Committee of Kaunas helped to invite the bodybuilders from Czechoslovakian SSR (C.S.S.R.) and D.D.R. (German Democratic Republic). The Category Winners were VLADAS KAPCEVICIUS and RAIMUNDAS IVANAISKAS (both Lithuanian SSR). At the same time the „Over All Winner‘s Cup“ («Кубок абсолютных чемпионов») was held too. The Over All Winner was ALEKSANDR TARASEVIC (Александр Тарасевич, R.S.F.S.R.). In 1988 West German bodybuilders participated at the International Contest in Riga (Latvian SSR). This was the first time when after the “Iron Wall” period the “West” sportsmen came to the U.S.S.R.. Germans and Latvians were the first in bodybuilding to break the “Iron Wall” which was between the Socialist and the “West” Worlds. Athletes from Estonian SSR, West Germany, Ukrainian SSR, Lithuanian SSR and Latvian SSR took part in the Riga event. The best among the Germans was the Senior Europe Champion HEINZ HORLING and the best among the U.S.S.R. bodybuilders was Latvian STANISLAV POLIAKOV. In 1988 a number of International bodybuilding Contests were held in the C.S.S.R. and D.D.R..
