MODEL FITNESS - WHAT IS IT?
20 YEARS OF W.F.F. - W.B.B.F. MODEL FITNESS CATEGORY.
MODEL FITNESS VERSUS MODEL BODYBUILDING.
20 years ago W.F.F. - W.B.B.F. (World Fitness Federation, World Body Building Federation) created “Model Fitness” categories at the International and National Contests. Since that time most International federations copied W.F.F. - W.B.B.F. in many innovating activities. During the time “Model Fitness” competitors became muscular and there was no difference from bodybuilders.
At the 2014 W.F.F. - W.B.B.F. World Amateur Championship in Slovakia many competitors were not allowed to participate at the Model Fitness Contest. The reason was their muscularity. Every year more and more muscular competitors try to attend Model Fitness Contests. W.F.F. - W.B.B.F. understands Model Fitness Competitors as a sportsmen without sharp and competitively big “doping looking” muscles.
Step by step W.F.F. federation divorces with W.B.B.F. - fitness goes away from bodybuilding. Until now W.F.F. and W.B.B.F. contests are held together but we will start making them separately too. Fitness is not bodybuilding. Remember - in 1998 I.O.C. (International Olympic Committee) refused to recognize bodybuilding as sport and the I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Body Builders) federation was “thrown out” from the recognized federations list. From that time bodybuilding is no more sport. Until now only former National I.F.B.B. federations of former Socialist Countries fool their Ministries of Sport and use to get governmental financial support. Soon the W.F.F. - International will sign the Contract with W.A.D.A. (World Anti Doping Agency).
